    Wednesday Dec.5th at the INN

    Hi Honey, I'm home!

Not MIA - just been a wild and crazy few days. We went up to Edmonton/St. Albert this weekend to look for properties again. Must have looked at about 35 different places so far! Had found two condos that would be suitable, but weren't exactly right, and then after supper Sunday night we fiinally found exactly what we were looking for! We made an offer on it yesterday, and we are going up this weekend (again!) to sign the offer papers. It's in a great location too, midway between my sister and my folks, so a very short drive to either. And right across from the botanical gardens, so a very pretty view, with lots of walking trails, etc.

So, my hubby, efficient fellow that he is, phoned our realtor back home here, and I got a call yesterday asking if they could come over to take pics! YiIKES! I NEED A LITTLE TIME!
So have been cleaning and polishing, hauling things to the trash, mucking out the garage - I keep saying we are never going to move again, and this will be our third move in three years.....somebody stop me!!!!! Anyways, the proposed moving date will be February 1st, so could be a wild and crazy six weeks or so.

So if my posts get a little shorter (I heard that sigh of relief!) don't worry, I will do my best to check in whenever I can.

Morning, MM - hope the accupuncture gets you back up and running - December can be a pretty tough month, especially being as busy at work as you are.

Hi Rustop, good to see you.

    Laura, ,

Cossette - Yup, could eat a horse when first going AF, but that settles down in time, and most people actually end up loosing a few pounds (bonus!!).

Wonder - Love the weenie tree. Maybe DG will bring her can of Spam and we can add chunks of that too?:H

]Rob - the Inn looks great! as you can see, I can get very wrapped up in decorating! But now must grab my dust rag, and carry on! Have a great day everybody!

Ok you folks in central Ohio.....I'll trade you your snow for the ice we have everywhere!
We have 3" thick sheets of ice ,we have thin layers of ice, and of course the invisible ice that doesn't appear until you're walking on it at a quick pace. The temps are still in the teens so it doesn't look as if it's going to melt. I hate ice!!!!
Now I have to drive 2 hours to southern RI to watch my kids play a hockey game..... yes on ICE.... jeez, they could skate on my driveway.

The good news is that I'll be too busy to think about drinking.

Tomorrow will be day 10,at which point I will have to be extra vigilant. In the past I have alway jumped back into the wine bottle at this point.. I have started taking the powdered form of l-glut and have found that to be quite helpful.
      Everyone enjoy an AF day!!!

Hannah, your new condo sounds wondeful !!!!!! It's such a beautiful area!!!
Moving can be stressful. How far away is your new place from where you live now?

Hi Janet - I'm just sitting here now, waiting for the realtor to come take pics, so have a few minutes. The new condo is a 2 1/2 hour drive from where we live now. One nice thing about this move is that we will have professional movers! Every other (way too many!) times it's been just us. Looking forward to being there, just not looking forward to the process!

yay!! Hannah's back! I missed you. The condo sounds fantastic......... so happy for you, and for being closer to your family. That's superb! The actual moving - ugh!

MM- FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT!!! SLOW DOWN!!! I know exactly what you mean about going at break-neck speed and how that's a bad place for you. I am the same. I get caught up and go go go go until I crash in one way or another. The accupuncture sounds like a really good idea. Sending you peace. Stillness. Deep breath.

Hart - good to see you here!

So, guess what - I just ran into another Astro Weenie - she wants to come and decorate with us too. Is that okay? Her name's Astrid. She seems nice.....

Ooops....only just got here and now have to go to bed LOL Managed to catch up a bit on the Christmas shopping and quite enjoyed myself.....especially the cappucino and chocolate brownie at teatime (how exactly did that fit into my sugar-free life??)

One of the good bits was doing some supermarket shopping and getting in bottles for Christmas. Water and soft drinks. The checkout lady said "Oooohhh....haven't you got a lot of bottles!"...... and I had no need to blush

Hope everyone is doing ok.......I'm working on some nice sticks for Christmas, they'll be available soon....

              Suze xx
Just hand me the chocolate and.........I'll consider my position. My solicitor has advised me to say no more than that.

                Hi All,
Been snowing all day here today..not ammounting to anything though, actually it's quite pretty. I was out driving in it today as my womens group started up again since they finally hired a new leader. I guess I'll head out in about a half hour to the womens aa meeting to get my 90 day coin...never did go get my 30 day one, wonder if that's retro? Nobody remembered me here again:upset: .....or on my 30 days either, how much more can I whine, complain and guilt ride people????:H That must be why everyone luvs me so much.
Oh well. I need to vent about my holidays a little anyway. I usually just sit there and listen but tonight if I can make myself I will let out a little of this stuff.

Isn't that Nebraska Mall masacre thing horrible!! People out shopping for their families and now they are gone. I knew there was a reason I don't often watch the news anymore.
I go to Custody workshop for my daughter next wednesday...sorry if I am repeating myself..probably am. My neighbor took pics of me and Abbey(cat) so I can send it along with the presents to my daughter for Christmas. I just hope the jerks don't give the gifts to her and act like they are from them....they probably will. Oh well...it's the thought that counts. Someday I'll ask her if she liked what I got her and she'll know then.

Well, guess I better run....I'm no good at finding decorative pictures. Where do you guys find all these pretty pics?
                Talk with you later

Good to hear from you. Wish we heard from you more often....then we could celebrate EVERY day with you! Don't be a stranger. Have fun at the meeting -

                    Hi again,
Back from my meeting. Didn't get to share because they went around in a circle starting out with the person in the room behind me and ran out of time before they got to me. I did get my two coins though so that's good at least...
Snows coming down like crazy, couldn't stop at the sign on the way home had to slide on through the turn luck no one was there. It's supposed to stop tonight I think. It's pretty but I don't like it when it gets icy and you have to dig your car out of the snow. Mine sits really low to the ground so it's a real pain and I haven't gotten around to buying a snow shovel yet...guess that would be a good idea next trip out!!!
This cold still has me feeling lousy, feverish and achy. Not getting much sleep...guess I'll go ahead and hit the Nyquil tonight although I hate to use the stuff. I could really use a nights sleep.
                    Talk to ya later.....

                      Hi Indigo-
I hate winter. And I don't use the word 'hate' much at all. It's dark, it's cold. Blah!
Glad you got your coins. Quite an accomplishment on those 90 days! Super well done!
Hope you get a good night's rest-

And nighty night to everyone else at the inn too. I'm pooped. See you tomorrow-
                      luv Wonder xx

                        Hello Inn-friends,

I have completed my first birthday AF since I turned 21. That is exactly a quarter century ago. Amazing what the last several months have taught me about what I truly want out of this thing called life.

Live and sober in the mountains of Tennessee. Hope you all have an AF night and a piece of my birtyhday cake.

                          Quiet accomplishments...

Good Evening for this visit to the Inn -

Indigo....the cat who got the mouse.....you know what its been to get that 90 day accomplishment, even thought tonite wasn't time to tell your story. The right time will present itself, no doubt. Congrats on your efforts!

July - Happy 1st AF birthday in 25 years - wow you made me think when the last one I ever had was.....ouch - maybe my next will be, but that's too far ahead for this brain.

Wonder - such a great Encourager - thanks for that!

Suze - I made some "Hunka Chocolate Cookies" for the first time - you would like - you can get recipe at Midwest Living.com

Vino & Hannah - condos around the globe are wonderful to contemplate.

                          I hope everyone sleeps soundly,
