It was a real shocker. My only concern is where she is leaving them. The LAST thing I want is for my toddler to get into them.....

I honestly don't know how to address it. I never see her drunk, so I can't really say anything. I know she is nipping in it after we go to bed. It really is her business. I HATED it when anyone said anything to me about my drinking, so I won't be saying anything to her about it unless I saw something destructive.

What do I say about the bottles of vodka and rum sitting in my daughter's reach?

I think you should move them to "higher ground"...where your daughter can't reach them. Then share with nana that , as we all know....the stuff is poison! Maybe it will open some doors to discuss the issues out in the open. She IS on your side,,,just watch your tone of voice and body language so that she won't get defensive and you miss the opportunity to help each other...

Thanks for your advice Nancy.... She went out for lunch just now with her friends, so I will put them up. I didn't want to do it while she was here. I won't say anything, but if she asks, I will say I didn't want Hailey to get into them. Enough said.
