Thursday 20 December at The Inn

Morning Suze, - and all yet to come.

Of COURSE I am ready for Xmas!

Well........ apart from the fact that there is no furniture in the living room - coz I have been decorating, and I was varnishing the floor at 10pm last night.
And - the furniture from the living room is in the dining room - where we should be having our Xmas dinner....if we actually get the chance to go out and buy some food......but I can't do that tonite as I have to go WAY across town to pick up some mail they tried to deliver yesterday, (why are parcel offices always about as far away from centres of population as it is possible to get????) and then pick up my son from the station later.
Oh and I go "on call" as duty manager at work on friday so I won't be home till late then either.
Oh and I need just a "couple" more small presents (one of them for SWMBO - cant forget THAT one! - EEK!)
Oh and............................?

Bugger!

Perhaps I do still have a "couple" of minor last-minute things to do yet

Dontcha just LOVE it????

Adore it, Satori!! Aaaagh! Yup, think Christmas, think moving furniture! And stuff - Stuff - STUFF - STUFF!!! Good luck with all the 'minor' things to do....SWMBO's presen MINOR?!?!?!? Eeeeek munn.....!!

Thinking about food I will need for our return on the 27th with cousin....not fair to ask him to take me to Tescos (where he absolutely loathes to be - not alone there then!) after a 5 hour drive down here! But if I go food shopping on the 24th will there be anything left? ...the ususal seige mentality having kicked in I guess!

But, THE SUN IS OUT! Yea! Yesterday never got light here - awful! Freezing but sunny so I'm off to get some Vitamin D in....

Have a happy Thursday - kick Al into touch - the radio news is on, "The over 40's are more incapable of handling their drink than the 20 years olds.... A quarter of the population admitted to have ruined a pleasant time through excess alcohol consumption in the last year....Don't start if you think you will be unable to stop.." Well, there you go.....let's raise a smile together here at MWO this year!!

I already got SWMBO some pressies one is a CD and a DVD by one of these 'orrible "boy" bands she likes

Once she starts with listening / watching that - she will forget EVERYTHING else - so she would not notice if I forgot to get her some more pressies!
In fact she probably wouldn't notice if I came in to the room naked with a flower pot on my head singing "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK"!

(In fact I KNOW she wouldn't - coz I tried that LAST week!

)

Perhaps it is the 25 years of marriage that had blunted her sense of sight. (sigh) .............or ....... maybe just that I wander around naked with a flower pot on my head singing most days

LOL - reminds me of a conversation I had with an ex neighbour of mine.

Went something like

Neighbour:

"I saw xxxx yesterday standing butt naked in his living room doing his ironing - blinds wide open - anyone could see in - it is a disgrace - imagine being seen like that - what made it a hundred times worse was the fact that the wife was with me - she saw it all too"

ME
"I'm sure the sight of a naked man wouldnt have bothered your wife THAT much - you have been married for 15 years or so. I'm sure she has seen it all before!"

"NO NO - it wasn't the fact he was naked I was bothered about - it was the fact that he was IRONING!"

Babygirl - WELL DONE....
I know we're being frivolous here but you should feel very proud of those days - they're not 'fun' ones at all and you've got the worst bit done now....keep going...it is so worth it.

Love to all - off to get my train ticket for Monday and my hair done - (la-di-dah!!) - so might feel more 'human' after that. (Instead of an over-grown animal! As my hairdresser says,"You have to think outside the box with your hair!!" It's really thick...)

Not that I'm stressed about it, no, not me (yeah, right).

I am completely ready for Christmas, just have this one little job left to do - SELL THE DAMN CONDO!!!!!! GRRRR!!!!!

Oh well, enought whining. But seriously, anyone want to buy a condo?

Welll, am about to go attack my closet and weed out some of the clothes that I never wear....should keep me busy and help de-stress for a little while!

Hi everyone, I haven't been here for a few days. I have not been too good (physically)
feeling much better now. Well done on day six BG. I don't think I know what a condo is
so sorry, can't buy it.

Paula, Suze - "Condo" is short for condominium, means it belongs to an association that overseas various things, usually the grass cutting and snow shovelling, for which you pay monthly fees. It can be like a flat (or apartment) or can be like a rowhouse, or even a sepearte house all by itself. Ours is a house style, with finsihed basement, and attached double garage, even have our own patch of grass and deck.

Just venting, sort of stressed out over the whole thing. We have actually put money down on another condo where we are moving, and so must sell this one. Otherwise we will be paying some hefty financing fees!!!

Well, have gone through my closet, 4 large bags of clothes in my vehicle, awaiting delivery to the donation bin. And you can hardly see the difference in my closet! I admint to being something of a clothing junkie!!! Should have weeded out more than I did, but you know how it goes...oh, I may want to wear that someday....:H
