Friday 21 December at The Inn

Greetings All.....deck the halls with boughs of holly etc (call Sven...he'll do it )

The weather couldn't be greyer here if it tried....never mind - my christmas tree lights look very cheery and cosy.

I have SO MUCH alcohol here for the family and visitors at Christmas.....and I haven't had to 'replace' a single bottle! :H

Hope everyone is well and strong today

Just hand me the chocolate and.........I'll consider my position. My solicitor has advised me to say no more than that.

Hi Suze and all to come....

Bad luck re the grey: the sun's managed to break through here - windy but soooo glad to see the blue sky in amongst the cloud....can't stand being sat on by a heavy grey 'lid' either! We had that on Wednesday...grrrrr!

Off out to an 'extravaganza later....music and dance and things to marvel at and...things! My son and I are going by train but have accepted the return part of the lift offer from David. (No public transport after it.) No point in bearing grudges forever (well, from my end anyway!) and missing out on things when offered crucial lifts! (I've just got his reply to my, "Thanx but we might go a bit earlier. Could we get love a lift back?". The reply? "OK by me. D" - as in, do what you want...I don't care...... (I can hear him say it!) See!!! I'm 'rising' already!! Sigh! No, it'll be OK! There'll be several hundred people there - usually is (yes, it's got sort of domes, Suze!!) and it's a very beautiful evening. Oh dear, Rob....yes, my life! Bit of an adventure! But adventure I will even if some of the extraneous stuff (like my lifts!) are rather.....I can't find the word! Actually, if anyone's got the word I'm looking for, I'd be grateful; I can't 'avoid' tricky situations if I don't even know what they're called!!!!!! :H

So, hopefully everyone's having a good, hectic but seasonal day. Oh, I do so hope that offer comes in, Hannah! That would be a lovely prezzie!

Suze - good on you for having a year of not replacing any bottles! :goodjob:

    See ya'all later!

    Love FMS xx :h

      Good Morning All!

Hee Hee! All this talk about the contraptions and harnesses and such - yup, I'm sure it is a total "let down" when some fellas see their ladies (?) totally unfettered for the first time - take off the padded bras, girdles, and padded behinds, and what's left? Sometimes best left to the imagination!:H

Ah, but true love - now that's much better - when you tell your hubby he looks great, even if he has put on 10 pounds in the past year - and he tells me I look great when I know darn well I don't.....:h

      How's the Chrsitmas shopping/wrapping/decorating going?

Suze - good for you on having all that alcohol around and not dipping in - I must admit I would find that a tremendous test of willpower - I just don't keep any in the house, because I know myself too well!

Rob - sure you are getting ready for your "family do" this weekend - and suppose many of you others too - hope everything goes well, and you have a really good, AF, time!

Well, must run and bring my several bags of clothes to the donation bin - closet still looks remarkedly full! And then off to run a few errands....

      Have a great day everybody!!!!

Wow - we're quiet here!! Coz it's far from quiet out there in life, eh?!??! Flies with blue bums come to mind.....and tails that need chasing?

Tomorrow wil be crazy busy as I realise it's nigh on D day for us.....Sunday we do church, roast lunch and prezzies.....then the 9 lessons and carols at 7pm - and 9am the next morning - off to our respective Crimble Day venues....all clothes clean, remembered (as in the ones I want, not just any at all!!! :H ) and packed, food for next Tuesday bought, pets looked after by neighbour, presents wrapped and packed.....and all the zillions little things on top. So, tomororow sets that lot up along with the stampede in the supermarket (groan) for the few bits that are left during the seige!

Went to the extrvaganza - fun and beautiful - so many pretty twinkling lights, both on Crimble trees all covered in tons of fake snow (thought of you, my Canadian/US friends!!!) with stunning little lights all over them, AND daffodils in flower at their bases!! Crazy seasons!

BUT - it's mid-winter tonight: the days will get longer now!! Woo Hoo!!

The lift home went well (son and I went by train and bus) - aaaaagh! &*$%@#...... a lovely 'Happy Christmas' as his car got to my house....a squeeze on my shoulder, a stroke of the back of his hand on my cheek....repeat twice....and inside I came. (PS that all took only 10 seconds!!) Now WHY didn't he ever do that when we were actually 'an item' ?!?!??!?!?!!? Grrrr! But good to lay a few ghosts and good to talk to someone who has known my daughter #1 for 5 years for instance; he was really surprised as her 'silence' is not her at all....

        So, Happy Crimble minus - sssh....3 !!
