Thursday Janurary 10th at the INN

Good Morning INNmates!! We slowly sliding back into winter here after the unusually warm weather. What a bizzare winter this has been so far.

Suze- I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor's dog. I remember you helping out with the poor thing over the holidays. I hope the baby is doing better. Stop by and give us an update.

Today is going to be a paperwork day. Collecting info for taxes and clearing out some files. Hannah, I wish I really could beam you up for this part. I also need to chase some dust bunnies.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Love and Peace
    Rob

    Hi Pals!

Rob...hope you got your paperwork done ok....it's soooooo boring isn't it? :bonkers:

The baby is doing really well now....sort of turned the corner, off all the machines and wires and looking good. There may be some long term brain damage but it's too early to tell - but he is alive and kicking!:h

It is raining here in England......on and on and on and on and on and on........

I never do like this time of year much....it's a real pull through to February/March, so grey and depressing. So I'm going to be a real little ray of sunshine here (not).....aren't you all lucky lol??:H

Will try to keep my grizzles to myself :H

    Love

Grizzle, grizzle grizzle! There's two of us now, Suze!! Ghastly isn't it!?!? Except warmer and stopped here at lunchtime so I hope it's stoppedith you too now......oh, bring on March! Mind you, I have a 'daffy-down-dilly' out in my garden...just the one but YEA!!!!!

An afternoon in the local cafe/bookshop - I am a regular now....! In there I can stay in the Everything or Anything Is Possible mode but at home it quickly becomes Nothing Is Possible...so, out I go! GOT to keep the mind believing in a future..... income, purpose, home etc. etc.... Denial creeps in at home cos I can't face the reality of my life but, with the distance of a mile, I can just about face it and think about options! Sigh!

Did you see the prog last evening on "What Britain Earns..", Suze? Guys - I dunno about around the world but here in the UK, ten years ago the 'rich' earned 9 times what the 'poor' earned. Now, in ten years it has climbed to them earning 140 times the income of a 'poor' man!!!!!...who's income has stayed the same as ten years ago!! What hope!?! I simply cannot see a way out of the Benefit/welfare trap....but I'll b**** well find one....well, I'll not give up thinking anyway! (Trouble is, the 'poor' down these parts earn 9 times less than the 'poor' 'up-country' to start with........eeek!)
What a strange world! The girl who earned ?2,000 in two days for tidying up that other woman's boot, shoes and clothing collection?!?!?!?!? HOW many pairs of boots? 220 was it?!?? Hmmmm.....

      GOT to change MY thinking!

Sorry - rambling away here - so hope everyone's having a good Thursday.... I've got too much stuff to even see the dust-bunnies, Rob! You might wonder why I don't clear it up...well, it's a matter of a small house, no cupboards and no way of getting it out of the house (strange difficulties arise without a driving license!!) so the hallway is in danger of being permanently full of black bins bags....lovely! (Dog, I hate it!) I spent the morning MSA. (moving stuff about) and just ending up with washing up done, clean laundry, phone calls done, emails sent and stuff just in different rooms!!! Hannah! Where are yooooooooooooooooo!?!?!!!!!!!

      WUN day!!

Love and hugs all round...off to find some supper.
      FMS xx

Good Morning, Rob, Suze, and Finding!

Well, I use the term "good" loosely. Got up early this morning - bit of a story there - you may remember back in the fall my water spigot on the fridge began leaking, and we had to pull the fridge out and shut off the water inlet....also, just last week I discovered the dishwasher was leaking a bit - not things that the new owners (assuming we ever sell!) would be too happy about. Okay - so to find someone to repair them....phoned one company, said they could do the dishwasher, but don't do fridges. Told me to phone this other company. So I did. Fellow who answered didn't sound overly interested, but said to call him the next morning, because he was out of town. So I did, and he said to call him again next week (i.e., this morning) and he would make sure he got a repair guy over. So I did, and got his answering machine saying he was on holidays. Grrrr......Why do men do that to women? Satori? Chief? July? Very Annoying!!!!!!

But - while I had been going through my old files, cleaning them out, I had found a slip of paper with an ad from Sears for home repair of applicances. Kept it, just in case. (Aren't I the smart one? Call me pessimistic!!!). Called the number, and the lady who answered was just as nice as can be, took model and serial numbers, etc., and got me set up for next Monday morning. And then afterwards got a call from the repair guy himself, to ask a few more questions. Too bad I wasted a week and a half of the other bozo.....

Anyways, enough of that rant. Rob, I do wish I could beam up, would give me something to do besides sit and worry about things.

Suze - So sorry to hear about your neighbours dog :l Sounds like the weather isn't making you feel any better either. Here it is just bone numbing cold....

Finding - Hope you have a good afternoon at the cafe/bookshop. Always good to get out. How's the looking around for new digs going? Wouldn't it be nice, just for a day, to experience how the rich live? But apparently money really doesn't buy happiness. It just makes the misery more tolerable!

Hope you, and all to follow, have a great day!

Oh Hannah...we've all been there LOL! I'm waiting for someone who is supposed to be coming to fix some plumbing....and I can't even FIND anyone who wants to look at the microwave (we only really use it for wheatie hotties - it was fitted in to the kitchen when we bought the house and we can't even get it out of the housing :H .... I am miserable without my hottie!)

No, I didn't see that programme, Finding. Sounds terribly depressing though....and yes I know the south west is one of the worst places....so dependent on the seasonal stuff and tourists Is leaving the area a possibility for you? Big question, I know! I like the sound of your cafe/bookshop.....I'd be there all the time! There's a place in Wales like that (can't remember the town now).....gorgeous!

I am now officially the Grizzly Bear of The Inn. And my hormones are hormoning......stand clear everyone! :upset:
