I just saw this thread and have nothing profound to say that has not already been said, but I hope you will keep posting cuz we all love you and I know that must have been a really tough environment. As you know, I am going in March, so any pointers or things you could share that you would do differently, you know I would love to hear. I'm glad you are home safe and sound, we missed you around here.

thank you all again. got to the doc last night but sadly they messed up my prescription so I'm without librium until tonight. thankfully I have a high pain tolerance but really this is taxing me to the limit. I finally ate something this am and I'm hoping to get some more sleep if possible. sorry to sound like a cry baby. really do appreciate you all a ton.

You are not a cry baby. I have been trying to convince myself all day that maybe I could try mods, KNOWING damn good and well, I would fail if I even try it. I will not drink, but sometimes you get tired of fighting your own mind. Just know you will feel better soon. AND we are all here for you.

Det, you are not a cry baby, I know you are hurting so badly, too bad you didn't get the right Rx, I know you won't soon forget how awful you feel, its a huge motivation not to put yourself in the situation again...I always say, we learn other lessons so much faster, like if you hit your thumb with a hammer, it really hurts, so you try so hard not to hit your thumb the next time you use it....you'd think we'd "get it"....I've said that over and over! I think I've "got it" this time tho...I'm sure when you get some rest, and start to feel better, you'll realize that we don't "deserve" to have a drink or two, or more, cuz we've "done so much better"...it always ends up with us in the ditch, shaking and feeling like crap!!!! We deserve much better!!!!!!

YOu are drinking tons of water right? And eat as much fresh raw fruits and veggies as you can to help detox your system. Hot baths and deep breathing too.

By the way - you said above you are a "poor example"? Not at all. In your humanness (and thus your err) and sharing honestly and openly with us, you help to give us further motivation and reminders of how beastly is this monster and of how vigilant we must always be to reach and maintain freedom.

Were you an oldest child, Deter?? I was, and I always feel like I have to set a good example too. It has gotten me in a lot of trouble because it has made it hard for me to ask for/accept help when I need it.
