        OMG,

        What a great thread today!!

Det, I am so incredibly impressed and proud of you. :l :l What a hard and difficult decision and you MADE IT!!

Kathy, Mary, RU, Buckle, Mary Anne, Nancy, Tawny, TNT (sorry about being so sick!!), Thankful, Madison,
You all INSPIRE me so much and I am so glad to have your company on this journey. You have absolutely no idea. It is so lonely on the road and the company is so welcome and so generous.

Macks!!! The puppy!! Let me tell you. I went through this last year with a HYPER puppy. My rules are (we crate trained, btw, which is much less cruel than the beat the dog when they "mess" up as long as you don't have to leave them in the crate for hours on end) if the dog plays, take them out, if the dog eats, take them out, if the dog sleeps, take them out, if the dog does anything, take them out. My puppy was trained within 3 weeks. To this day, we have not had an "accident" in a year. That was after 3 weeks of training, and we never once had to "hit" or reprimand. He just goes to the door, hits it with his paws and whines. If we forget to pay attention, he comes over to one of us and jumps up with his paws and looks us in the face. It is just too cute.

Yes, it was a lot of work, but just like the beautiful children I have, worth every second.

        Best of luck!!

        Love to all my Abbers!!

                Hi

                Hi all,

New to this and initially checked the Monthly Moderation as I thought it was the only way for me to go. Couldn't think of 30 days without any alcohol. Reading all your posts now makes me realise that I too would like a proper nights sleep, I would like not to pass out instead of falling asleep, I would like to remember what I did in the final hour before passing out, I would like to save my money instead of drinking it and that I would like to have no alocohol at all in my system. So it looks like I'll be giving 30 days AF a go. I've ordered the book and CDs from this site and I've bought the supplements. Fortunately no nights out or special events planned so.....here goes....Day 1!

Welcome, Whiterose....sounds like you have a good plan. That's how I did it...follow the book, take the vitamins and supps, make it a mission.

You can do it...just put your mind to it and get through the first few days. Log on here as much as you can....there will always be someone to talk to...
