Hey all-

I am starting TODAY! Tried before and failed - a visit with parents. Nervous about this evening already - I get so god awful CRANKY when I can't spend the evening with my AL. The frenemy that has been with me longer than anyone I know except family. I keep telling myself I will not stop at the Liquor store on the way home....Yes, I am one of those drinkers who stops every day ....can't keep it:argh: in the house... I have tried and done mods plenty - successful at times, a failure at times, but I am afraid to promise myself but I have to. I PROMISE I WILL NOT DRINK TONIGHT. This statement leaves me very anxious.

I am not sure what I will do with myself without my buzzy friend.

WOW! I am jazzed. I didn't need to take the antabuse. I think the kudzu is working:thumbs: Today, I have a slight sore throat, and I know just what would sooth it, but noway. I've heard about kudzu for a couple of years. I used to go to the health food store and buy it. Kudzu is a starch, a white powder like cornstarch and is used in Japanese cooking. I'd mix up a bunch in water and choke it down. Never had any effect. So, my first capsule, I chewed before swallowing. Yuck, now I know why the kudzu cornstarch didn't help. But it makes great tempura:H

G, just compared my kudzu (potency) to the MWO kudzu and realized my brand is crap... Thankfully I've also been on the Topa. Are you taking the MWO stuff? That's what I'm going to order. Should have done that from day one..

95?+ F here in So. CA yesterday :egad:, but much cooler today (~80?) so I'm playing hooky from work to finally finish up some much needed landscaping in my [tiny] backyard. Man, it looks like an alcoholic used to live here or something... :H :H

Hi all, Everyone good? I watched an intervention program on the tube last night. About a women who keep herself totally wasted on little mini shot bottles of vodka She could drain one faster than you say say boo. It was really devastating to watch. Happy ending though... her family sent her to 3 months rehab at a southern CA beachside center, and she came out sober and began a new career as a alk counselor. Thank goodness for my hypnotic tapes to put me to sleep. So, Day 5 is here and I'm O.K. I found that Ben and Jerrys is just as soothing for a cold and sore throat as hot toddies: actually better Big Mac, come do my yard next!

It sounds like Mac is agreeable but you're going to have to wait a while for him to show up. My yard is 165 acres and I's really like to get all of the poison oak taken out. You allergic Mac? I'm so happy to announce Day 6. There's some social events that I am passing on this week. It's not that I'm afraid of the drinking as I hardly ever overdrank in public, it's really that I feel ashamed and embarrassed about the past and just don't want to face any of them. I wonder if that feeling will ever pass? Anyhow, here comes the Sun. A very good day to all.:h g.
