Booze Busters 30 Day AF Challenge - Week of 3/31

        Morning everyone

Just to wish all you BB's a lovely day - am feeling positive it's the start of Day 5 and I' m ready to go!!

Last night I went to the pub with my hubby and met some friends (to watch the footie and do the quiz) I drove so that I wouldn't be tempted and wouldn't get hassled by the friends for not drinking! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed myself without Al - I didn't really miss is and we stayed longer than I had expected. Am a bit tired but if I had been drinking I would have felt a dozen times worse. I have to store all these little triumphs to remember this feeling when I'm seriously tempted!

Hope you all have a wonderful day AF - see you later xxxxxx

Booze Busters 30 Day AF Challenge - Week of 3/31

morning all bbers, good going yesterday for being AF, keep it up, and u will feel great in no time.

what keeps me going is the challenge in kicking that beasts arse for everything it has done to me. the other reasons is that it feel great waking up each morning with out a hangover and not remebering the night before. also i wouldnt be doing any of the stuff im doing now, working a relashionship with daughter, fixing myself to be stable, finding u lot , just about everything in what im able to do now.

so good luck all for another day AF

            day 34 AF

            take care xx

Booze Busters 30 Day AF Challenge - Week of 3/31

Hi BBers: I'm still keeping vigilant about my triggers, because the alcoholic voice sneaks into my consciousness when I least expect it. So far, so good. 62 days of alcoholic freedom. I never (before MWO) thought I'd be able to say that. 3 days was a such a huge effort that I had to drink just to let off a little steam. Now I come here to MWO to let off the steam. Thank you all so much for being here. Mary

Good Day Booze Busters!!!! There sure are lots of great reasons to be sober!!

It's a gorgeous day here in IL for Day 5 AF. I hope once Mr. Doggy gets back to the home office I can get outside for a walk or some yard work. I want to get a GOOD long step ahead of the weeds this year!! Does anyone know of a gardening site for dummies, especially if it tells - based on temperatures - if it's time to put down the pre-emergent weed killer? (or does anyone from the Chicago area know if it's time yet?)

I hope everyone has a fabulous AF day!

                            Hi all,

Did 20 days, but today BHAM. I'm putting the green fugly suit on. I get to a point after a few weeks (or two months, which is my best so far) when I think "yeah, I'm fine! I can drink like a normal person! Other people can have a drink, why shouldn't I?" Etc, etc. You know how it goes.

Beck: congrats on day 60. I'm gonna get a trophy if it kills me.

Barebones: "what keeps me going is the challenge in kicking that beasts arse for everything it has done to me". :H

                            Well done everyone.
I'll be back tomorrow with a sore head and hopefully a renewed fighting spirit!

                                Day 8

60 days is awesome!! One week and one day seems like an eternity to me. Late afternoons are my witching hours... and now it's evening so I can claim another notch in my AF belt. Which, by the way, is getting tight as I've been substituting food for booze.... I guess the calories are NOT evening out. I'm spending more time with my grandson and organizing neglected closets, sleeping well with the aid of melatonin but I still can hardly tolerate my spouse. I watched part of "War of the Roses" this morning: the beginning. Both characters are really awful and I guess it's the same deal here, in my home, in real life:upset:
You guys keep it up and I will too:goodjob: sweet dreams, g. :h
