Booze Busters 30 Day AF Challenge - Week of 3/31

Good Morning Booze Busters!!!! Thank you rustop and Janice for thinking of me on this lovely Saturday. I am determined there will be no drinking for me today - no matter what. It's not an option. If I have to just leave the house and go to a store or something that's what I'll do. I will earn * #8 today.

Congratulations to EVERYONE on your awesome Booze Bustin' accomplishments!! And a special :cheering: for Beck on achieving Double :bling Day!!! Are you going for another 30? Keep a close lookout for :alf: He came lookin' for me around that time before. Keep that guard up!!!

I'm glad the topic of exercise came up. I haven't quite gotten into the 5 day a week groove that I want to be in. So that's my goal for next week - get in 5 workouts.

In some good news, I've been doing really good on the food front and Mr. Eville Scale has rewarded me with 3 pounds of weight loss!! I'm at a time in life where I really have to be diciplined to just keep from GAINING weight so this is really good. More benefits of not drinking!!

I raise my glass of H2O in a toast to Booze Busters the world over for a great AF weekend!!!!!

Had a rough time last night but remained AF. WOOOHOOO!!! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!
Today I am painting!!! Ugghh! I hate it, but it seems to be theraputic for me. Oh, Hannah, the floor is done and it looks better than expected. Very pleased with myself. It is amazing what a lot of work and a little color does to a home.

Booze Busters 30 Day AF Challenge - Week of 3/31

            Good Morning BB's,

It's so nice to check-in and see how everyone is attacking their Sat without alcohol. The past couple of days have indeed been hard and I know tonight will be a huge challenge but I know we'll all feel better tomorrow having done the journey AF.

Last night I made a peanut butter sandwich for dinner and that seemed to kill my desire for wine.I have had to change some of the foods i normally eat as some of them seem to call out for a glass of chardonnay to accompany the meal. That's perfectly ok because I know it will take a while to readjust my taste buds. For now, peanut butter and it's lingering aftertaste seem to kill my desire for wine so I'm off to the supermarket to buy several different brands.

I wish you all success today. I'm thinking of you all.

            Janet

TEN Although, I shouldn't allow the count until evening. It is so great to feel confident enough to know, ahead of the witching hour, that I'm going to be O.K. 30 days doesn't seem quite so impossible any more. More counting down to 30 and then planning a new goal.

DG, excersize in the AM, as early as you can, will reset your metabolism. Also, avoiding carbs until you've been up and active for a couple of hours will jumpstart weight lose.

                              Day One....

that's tomorrow. My reasons are nonsense, at least, nobody else is involved for the day. I'm not overdoing, but did drink wine FOR BREAKFAST eggs are ever so much better!! It was all emotional rather than physical, urges rather than cravings: I think. You all listen to the message and be well, and I'll just start over again (and again and again) but what the hay, every restart is a step forward. :h

Booze Busters 30 Day AF Challenge - Week of 3/31

                                Morning all

I've slipped again. I just can't seem to get past a saturday AF! My husband doesn't help he thinks a couple of drinks once a week won't harm and in a way he's right BUT I had a few drinks on Saturday (not OTT) but this just left me wanting more on Sunday - that's what this thing does to you.

I have got a party next week and I just know I'm not mentally strong enough at the moment to go through it AF so my plan for this week is to go AF through the week and then decide what the hell I'm going to do after next weekend

I know in my heart I'll kick this thing eventually - I stopped smoking almost 2 years ago so I know how hard it is to kick an addiction ( I lost count of the number of attempts I had) I feel just the same as I did then when I wanted to kick it - I couldn't settle until I eventually did it!

I will be watching all your progress this week - keep up the good work and no doubt I will be back on board next week!

Have a wonderful AF week - good luck you know it's worth it xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
