Gelgit.. while im waiting big mac can practice flying..im sure that feeling will past people do foeget...i always over do it in public...but i feel the beast is testing me this weekend wish i could just stay at home...no sun here just rain after rain than wind a bit of sun then the clouds come over and more rain. The good think is im sober and feel good inside.

May Day, but no calls for help needed today. The kudzu is really working for me. Must be extra careful not to get over confident. I'm glad I didn't go to the wine tasting party... standing out in the sun all day:blah: So, I cleaned up some cupboards and winter stuff.
Day 7... only been one week seems so much longer, but that's a good thing.
Last night was the first time I didn't fall asleep listening to the Cd #1. I got past the "your legs are VERY heavy...." part. Does anybody else have trouble with the voice? His pronunciation makes laugh like "say what" and that breaks my concentration. Esckalator like nookclur kinda of thing. It was a beautiful day here and hard to stay down/depressed for long :jumpin::jumpin:Wishing you all a good evening and another AF day tomorrow

24 Days AF today. Gotta run to work but want to check in and say hi.
G, same thing with me on the CDs! I just can't get past that - I keep wanting to correct him.. I can't say they didn't help as I did listen numerous times. I now listen to CD 3 or 4 (Subliminal Abstinence) every night. There are no voices, just sounds of the ocean. I fall to sleep to it every night. I love that one!

Gelgit, yes I do fall asleep to the tapes. I'm on day 15 and last night was the toughest so far. My thirty should end just in time for a (sip) of champagne at a wedding. I sure hope I can moderate, but if not, this sobriety thing isn't half bad. I sure feel fortunate about my life after reading these posts: Hubby doesn't drink much, I don't have to work and I started a painting class yesterday, kids are well behaved (tear of joy about now). I really should be able to get a hold of this drinking problem. Thanks to all for sharing, Lots of Love to the Booze Busters!!!! Keke

Hi Keke, It looks like we are sharing the same weather up here. Last night I rewatched the movie, Marie Antionette. Oh, the champagne:sigh: I really like the stuff. Last time I was AF for many weeks and drank a glass at a wedding. Wonderful...so, of course, I took another. Two sips in and I started to feel sick. I dumped it. So, maybe, only on highly important occasions, I might try a glass. Thank goodness there is nothing coming up for many months:H:H

21days af for me...
Hope you all are doing well...I thought thinks only go wrong for me when i have a drink but thats not the cases. but it did feel good to be in control of things and feel proud of myself. bank holiday tomorrow i think i my have one job to do.:upset: so no rest for the wick.

Hi BBers, hope everyone is doing well. I had a small party last night to watch the De La Hoya fight. All knew I was not drinking so it wasn't difficult. The funny thing was no one else really drank much, at least not compared to a typical party at my house. Usually this group would so I'm thinking I was probably always the 'enabler' of the group. Without me getting hammered everyone else stayed in control... Who knows, but it was a nice night with friends. Have a great AF week all!
