Janet: I'm glad you're not beating yourself up for the slip...that's not helpful. As far as slips, been there, done that. I so agree w/your post. Sometimes wine seems the only relief, but it is so not worth it. It never solves anything for me...& the relief is very, very temporary. After the first drink, the warm glow goes away. I'm left w/drinking the rest of the bottle in order to recapture that first feeling I got when I took the first sips. Go right back into it. Your son's problem is going to resolve some way whether you drink or not. I want to join the rest of the sober world & go through crises AF. Mary

Just to wish you all a good night.......Want, I am so pleased for you.....you have come so far in just a short time.....you have to do what is right for you, if your friends are true friends then they will understand and be there for you when you are ready. I'm afraid you have to be a little selfish here and put your recovery first.

Janet, you are so right to be optimistic.....look at what you have achieved, 19 days!!! It was a slip and you know why it happened and how it made you feel........just get right back on that wagon even more determined that ever!!!

Had a really busy but lovely day in the garden.....spring is such a special time of the year isn't it? Up early in the morning for work so won't get chance to get online until late afternoon.
