    Sunday, June 1

Hi there abbers! Hope everyone is out and about enjoying a beautiful weekend. Well, the weather is beautiful here anyway.

I'm thrilled to be at Day 11 AF. I'm NOT thrilled to have a bad cold which is why I'm here at the computer indoors rather than out enjoying the weather or doing someing more productive like reading my book and getting my blog going. Or anything that requires more energy than I have today.

I'm doing these saliva tests for the homone thing, and spittin' in little tubes is more challenging than you might think. One down, three more to go.

Hope everyone is doing great and ENJOYING another AF day!!

    DG

Hi DG -- sorry if I am late to learn of your progress -- what hormone tests are you taking?

I am low thyroid and know all too much about hormone tests -- let me know of you have questions -- I am right behind you on Day 6 and I too am a doggie lover (pugs in particular)
Have a great day! Let me know if I can help!

DG: Good luck on the tests!
Tiny: I too am a dog lover...all kinds, but we rescued a little (hyper) poodle last year, & he's the love of our lives.

Everyone: It was so wonderful to see the Drinktracker pristine for the month of June. I'm resolved to have all zeros. I haven't felt any temptation at all. I keep my life busy, but I'm trying not to be frenetic (as that leads me to drink).

      Have a great Sunday.

I was a show groomer in my younger days and raised and showed Bassetts and bloodhounds.Has anyone been watching (The Groomer has it) on animal planet???? I miss having Dogs but live right downtown now so they would have no place to play safely.Cats will have to do and I am starting to learn to love them(even though they are way too independent for my taste).....EVIE

              Hi everyone,

Found myself at a wedding yesterday - relative of my husb. As of Thursday, I wasn't going, then my husband asks me Saturday to "please go with him". So I caved and I'm glad I did. Big fun and a reminder that sober and somber need not be interchangeable terms. Did make him dance a lot. Now, I am really behind on my pre-moving work.

DG, Am glad that you are doing so well.

Yesterday, DogLvr posted that she didn't know what she was going to do after the 30 day mark...I toyed with the idea of modding and elected not to do it. It was a good decision for me. I found that I have needed all this time to begin to thrive again. Tomorrow I hit 120 days and I have needed them all to come back into my own and walk around confidently in the world again.

Everyone else, good to have you here. This is a great thread. I have always felt like the weakest person on the ABS thread but even I have managed to do well partly b/c of folks like Mary, Char and Janice...

Off to get some stuff done now.

Hi Tiny - heres some PUG LOVE!! I truly love all dogs, but have fond memories of two pugs. A dear friend's Mom when I lived in Florida showed Pugs "back in the day." When she "retired" from doing that, she started adopting Pugs that got "past their prime" from the show breeders. I fell in love with her two!

I would love to hear about your thyroid experience. I don't mind talking about this stuff publically if you don't. I would love if you would post about some of your experience in my Journal in the "Tell us your story" section of the board. My journal is called My New Story Starts Here.

Evie I started with cats then moved to dogs! That must have been fun being a show groomer - all the chaos and excitement! Columbo is one of my favorite old 70's "whodunnit" shows and I loved his Bassett Hound. (dating myself..)

Deter welcome home and congratulations on your AF vacation - especially on a cruise ship with booze everywhere, all the time! I thought of you and Dx tonight when I scooped copious amounts of garlic into the Cuban Style Sea Bass.

Beck, congrats (tomorrow) on 120 Days!! WOO HOO!! And for going and dancing hubby's little fanny of yesterday at the wedding. Sounds like a great weekend.

Just poppin' in for my last "touch 'o' the life line" for the day. Nighty Night - see you all on Day 12!!
