    Just for Kathy

    Kathy,
By the wonders of different times around the world, I have already celebrated your one year sober anniversary and if i'm lucky I can be here early to tell you that I remembered this special day and have been looking forward to it for some weeks.

You know, Kathy, I've 'known' you for some time now. I spent a while just now looking at some of your old posts.. your journey has had its ups and downs but you have shown a dogged determination to move forward and I think that you have really done something to be proud of.

Know that I"m very happy for you and thinking of your special day today.

I wish you only the best.

    Kathy,

One year. What an amazing journey you have been on.

I want to add my congratulations, too.

Like Brigid, I am incredibly proud for you and know that you have worked hard to get where you are today. Nothing to be taken lightly.

I am blessed to know you and grateful you are here with us.

    Much love,
    Cindi

Kathy, congratulations on your full year of sobriety! Thank you for all the inspiration you have provided here at MWO - showing all of us that no matter how difficult the road might be, it is possible to navigate the AF road and WE CAN DO THIS.

I hope you are doing something ultra special to celebrate this day.

Thank you all so much for responding to Brigid's thread. Actually, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get on today because my internet was down for two days. I just got it back around noon today, thank goodness!

duck, you are funny about the flags! It is true though. I haven't done any sewing so far being sober.

Brigid, thank you for remembering my special day. For all of you out there, Brigid was a very strong encourager to me, before I was ready to get sober, but she stuck by me anyway. I'm afraid I was not nice to her sometimes. I'm glad that that foolishness is behind me.

I couldn't have done this without MWO and the wonderful people here. I definitely needed a community to support me, and I have gotten the support I have needed to get and stay sober. I send a special thank you to RJ and to everyone who has been there for me in the past and in the present. I cannot name names of course, I'd surely leave someone out, and the list would go on and on. As my post is starting to go on and on, I will let you off the hook here, and just say that if I can do it, surely you can, when you are ready. ODAT all the way here.

                      Love and gratitude to all.....:h

Kathy: I so admire you. I know it wasn't easy...especially in the beginning. However, I'm sure it's well worth the effort. Thank you for being a role model for all of us that are at the beginning of our AF path. Mary
