How awesome!! Congratulations!!

You are heading towards 90 days, 1967. That is a huge milestone.

Once you hit 90 days, many chemical changes have occurred in your brain and you are much closer to "normal" brain function.

I am very proud of you. Thank you for posting. Posts like this inspire so many and it made my day!!

I didn't know about the significance of the 90 day milestone.
This gives me something to look forward to! I celebrated my 30 day mark by buying a Vespa.. but didn't do anything for 60 days... will definitely celebrate 90 days!!

now the trick is to fill all the hours i used to waste by drinking wine.

it's weird as lately... last couple of days... i've thought several times of drinking.
it really has been pretty much abscent from my mind lately. it is so much part of our island culture. last weekend i went to the beach and everyone (it seemed anyhow) was drinking except me.
i realized that there is no way i can keep up w/how people casually drink ALL DAY here.
really, after two drinks that is enough for me.
i don't want to be alone all the time but i won't go backward either.
being sober and seeing the situations i've lived for so long i can clearly see how i got into trouble.

and yes, it is amazing what we can accomplish with help from our friends.
thank you all!

i need to create new rituals to mark my week.
i think i'll have some french toast this morning to recognize that it is the week-end.
it's a start anyhow.
