Happy St Patrick’s day to all!

Made it up to 63 degrees today with mostly sun. We’re in for a few colder days ahead thanks to a coldfront coming from Canada. They like to share, haha!!!
I baked up a homemade dairy free pizza in my mini oven instead of turning on the big oven. I even got an 11” pizza stone to fit inside. My old stone is too big to fit in the Cuisinart. I topped it with saut

        Mae all,
Happy Paddy’s Day to any who celebrate.

I started the day “sitting” with my SIL who is now home, but still having a hard time recuperating from her gut surgery... the incision even opened and bled a little yesterday (2 weeks after surgery) — disappointing. But my brother was out of the house, so I quickly did a floor cleanup and a load of sheets so that they can change the bedding whenever that works for them. Fortunately, they had two single beds that had electronic raising of the head or feet, etc. So my brother cut the legs on one of them so it is lower and she can get in and out of bed okay. (She can get out of bed, but only went to the commode, not the bathroom... I think she’s supposed to be walking a lot more now, but it’s not my place to push her...)

I’ve been feeling a little low lately - I think I thought i was just tired all the time (which I am) but perhaps there’s a low mood also... who knows? It might help to have company - but I’m racing around trying to clear out anything that might be moved to my little storage cabinet down where I park my car. Just trying to organize and place some things so that there is room for my step-daughter to put a suitcase, etc. It’s only for 4 days, but I want her to be comfortable. We’ll mostly be out hunting for apartments for her (when i’m not working) and I can show her the city... it would be a big move for her.

The Long Covid Rehab has fitted me with a Garmin watch that has special software that tracks various things related to the condition. It downloads directly to their software, so they can see what’s going on with my oxygen, heart rate, stress level, number of steps, walking, strength, hydration, breathwork, etc. I am their experiment!! . I was sort of relieved to see that it tracks the stress I feel when working, and the jumps in my heart rate when carrying those boxes. The interesting thing is that my oxygen never really gets above 93 when I’m working... maybe that’s why I’m so foggy when I work. Who knows. Maybe this will help figure it out.

Big hellos to all - sorry not to address everyone. Maybe more energy tomorrow.
        Cheers,
        TG

            Greetings everyone,

I see half of yesterday’s post never made it here, oh well. The colder weather is moving in as was promised. Night time temps will be down in the 20’s Wednesday & Thursday night so my new. Plants will remain safe in the greenhouse for now. I knew it was way too early to thinking about planting them. Spring officially arrives tomorrow evening so we’re making progress

Cyn, I hope your SIL put a call into the surgeon’s office. Likely she needs some attention, antibiotics, etc. Her incision should be well closed by now. Is she diabetic? they’re slower to heal. I hope she keeps that area clean & dry & covered. She should also ask for some home PT too, sounds like she’s losing a lot of strength. I hope your DIL’s visit is fun & productive. When will you get the results from the Garmin recordings? You need some help keeping your strength up as well. Take care

Mick, no planting outside here yet, glad to have the greenhouse. I hope your car gets fixed without any hassle, we need our cars!

hello to PQ, Pie & Slo. Hope you are all well.

            Have a nice night everyone!

MAE ALL...fairly quiet day, accountant spent most of the morning in the bosses office and then she left at noon. LOL

Mick...yup it was back to work today. My winter programs are winding down and the Spring programs are complete, so have a bit of breathing room. Still need to write the online registration for the Community Garden and the Craft Sale in November. People have been coming in to pay, give me a break. Hope your sleep improved and you got the car in for repairs.

Lav... I've been trying to use my regular smilie when I sign off but it won't take. It looks like there's only 3 that we can use at the moment. All the rest of them don't paste properly. We're going to get hit with this cold front tomorrow night, although it's not going to get too cold, about the same as you, they're calling for up to a foot of snow. Just what we need.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good night all...:smile:PQ

                Greetings everyone,

i don’t see any posts from today ~ weird. Was just chatting with Mick & he said he was here this morning.
nothing special happening here, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring at 11:06 pm, yay!!!
Decided to make Swedish meatballs today & actually found I could make them dairy free, gluten free & reduced sodium without messing them up too badly haha.

PQ, it’s colder but not really all that bad. We have the fireplace going & the woodstove going downstairs so it’s not bad. I hear we are getting. Up to 2” of rain Saturday, better than snow for sure. Hope your forecast is not accurate. Sounds liek the accountant just needs to stay the heck home Lol

hello to Slo, Cyn & Pie.

                have a nice night all!

                      Greetings to all!

I just realized that I cannot login on the home page. I have to come here to this thread & login from here ~ OK.
We’ve had a dry day, chillier & a lot more windy. Not a great day to do anything outside so I baked a turkey pot pie to pass time, yum.

PQ, sorry you got the snow, hope it’s not too bad!

Mick, we’ll get this thing figured out, eventually. Persistence pays off!!

Hello to Cyn, Slo & Pie.

                      Have a nice night all!

MAE ALL...it's been snowing all day. Well, sometimes it thought it might change to rain but nope, the flakes kept coming. Son got up this morning and shoveled a path to my car, brushed off the car and warmed it up. I was so appreciative, was dreading moving all that wet heavy snow. It's supposed to snow all night again so I hope he wakes and offers to do it all again. Boss told the accountant that perhaps she should get a job where she's the boss. They had a doozy of a fight last week with arguing about something he did with childcare and kindergarten care enrollment. When she told me about it I was surprised he didn't fire her on the spot.

Mick...I heard about your popping posts! LOL Must have been a wild post if they kept making it go away. Haha Hope all is well in your house.

Lav...I don't seem to have a problem logging in, well most of the time. Usually hit the home page, check out any notifications and then move onto the thread. Believe me I know what it's like to make changes to a website and a forum like this must be so intricate to debug. My hats off to Jod I just wish I could use my smilies again but definitely at the bottom of the wish list.

Thinking of the rest of the group and hope all is well with everyone. Have a great night all....:smile:PPQP
(yup, keep putting my : smile : in with no spaces between the :, but it doesn't show)

Happy Spring! -even though we’re having cold winter weather. I like the extra daylight though!

It’s ok, PQ. We know you’re smiling at us! It comes through in your warm & friendly “voice”. So glad that your son was a thoughtful & considerate gentleman this morning, and helped you out. It sounds like the accountant is skating on thin ice! At least she should be.

I wonder if TG’s stepdaughter has arrived yet?
The condo that I looked at and put an offer on (but didn’t get it) is right across the street from Trader Joe’s!

Lav, you’re cooking all my favorites: turkey pot pie and Swedish meatballs.

i had X-rays done today, and found out that I do have to wear the thick orthotic inside the shoe, as well as having a half inch of extra rubber added to the sole of my left shoe -forever. The leg length difference is a structural rather than a functional problem: I am left with a longer right leg thanks to the damn knee replacement & revision. And it’s being complicated by a fusion of L 4 & 5 in my spine. The orthotic is so big that the shoe then is not that comfortable on my foot; it’s tight and impinges on the foot & heel. So, I can see that that will always limit me being able to have excessive time on my feet.

I like your new avatar, Mick: your own photography!
