    Good evening all,

Sunny & below freezing - so much for Spring haha!!
Played around in the kitchen & think I’ve invented a pretty good dairy free, low sugar & sodium banana cake recipe. It baked up nicely, tastes good. Better than wasting the whole day because it was so cold.
I’ve discovered that Det has moved to Montenegro!!!. He’s posting beautiful pics on FB. Looks like his dream of moving to Europe has come true for him. I hope he does well.

@Jod, I think we’re happy the site is up & running so old friends can stay in touch. The kinks will work themselves out.

Mick, sorry about the sleep issue. It seems we all go through it from time to time. I know I’m better off having zero caffeine after noon. Good sleep is a distant memory for me.

slo, I wish they could find a more comfortable fix for you, sorry. It seems like you could use a slightly larger shoe size for you left foot to accommodate the orthotic so you can have some comfort too. Sorry too about the condo. Maybe the next one you find will be the perfect one.

PQ, nice that your son helped you out with the car. I don’t have. The energy to deal with all that anymore. The accountant sounds like she’s looking to get fired. I have to wonder what her objective is?? We have flood watches up for the weekend, 3 or more inches of rain is on the way, ugh.

    Cyn, hope you are OK.

    Have a nice night all!
    Lav

MAE ALL...nice quiet day, accountant in until noon but she stayed in her office the entire time. Fighting with a website page that is currently winning but I'll persist. LOL We've gotten 2 feet of snow, the heavy wet stuff. The snowfall warning has now ended but they still expect more snow through to Sunday. It's perfect weather for the kids, not very cold and lots of snow to play in. We had one small hill of snow built from the crew removing snow in our parking lot. Now we have 2 huge hills and the kids are loving them. At least someone's having fun in this weather.

Slo...sorry about the discomfort with your orthotics but maybe like Lav said a bigger shoe size would help. What a pain to go through all that. I didn't know you'd put an offer in on a condo. I thought you had just moved.

Mick...so that's how you tell the changing seasons, by the temp of the rain. LOL Sleepless nights are the pits, mine have improved a bit but I'm still wake up around 3am. I have gone from drinking coffee all day long to one or two in the morning but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Hope it sorts itself out soon. Yup, lots of snow. I remember another snow storm like this a couple of years ago but it was in May, so fingers crossed it's just about done with us.

Lav...playing around in the kitchen sounded like a good plan to me. I'm always impressed with people that know what they're doing in the kitchen. Thanks for the update on Det, much appreciated. Do you know if he's still with his lady? I was hoping son would repeat the help with the car this morning but alas he came down, made something to eat and went back to bed. LOL I think he spends most of his night on his computer. I knew there was going to be a pile of it so left a bit earlier and took my time clearing it all off. I'm just thankful that we're not in a deep freeze at the same time. Are you close to water? Any worry about the flood watches? If it's not one thing it's another!

Jod thanks for the reply and the link to the upgrade thread. There's 2 favorite emojis so I will post in the thread. Like Lav said we're just happy the site is back up and we can connect with friends again.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good night all...PQ

          Friday greetings,

mostly cloudy today ahead of the big rainstorm arriving overnight. We hoped in the car & went out to lunch & stopped at Costco for a few things. We drove by the Brandywine river today & noticed the water level is already quite high. That river floods on a regular basis, we don’t live anywhere near it, thank the gods.

PQ, 2 feet of snow? OMG, that’s awful, sorry. Glad it’s not super cold & freezing over. I’m sure the kids see it as a big gift though haha!
you fighting with a website page is like me persisting in the kitchen until something turns out right, Lol. We’re more alike that we realize. Good luck with that project, I’m sure you’ll make it right.

Mick, we need to put you on a SOFT diet to avoid breaking those teeth. Sorry you have to go through all that again.
Is it possible for you to buy a Chevy over there? That’s all I’ve driven for decades & I never have problems with them ~ American made rocks!!! Haha!!

Hello to Slo, Cyn & Pie. Hope you are all doing well.

Wishing everyone a nice night, stay warm & dry!

MAE ALL...finally the week is over, bring on the weekend!

Mick...I agree, yesterday was not a bestest day for you. Sorry you're having to through all that again, let alone the money. I just feel they should hold up a little better than they have been seems you've chipped, snapped, broken them quite often. I don't know if people can change the way they chew. And then more car trouble on top things off. Hope today was better for you. 2 huge events at the centre this weekend so yup, you guessed it, phone off.

Lav...our snowfall warning was dropped but of course that didn't mean the snow stopped. Just a skiff over night but it's been snowing all day, so glad it's the weekend. I'm glad you don't have to deal with flooding, I'm sure there'll be enough huge puddles around your place to deal with. Yup, I agree about being alike, you conquered your banana cake and I conquered my website. LOL

Waves to everyone else. Have a good night all...PQ

                Hi, everyone,

We got a dump of wet snow here the other day too. Not 2 feet of it like PQ! -but enough to get the plows all out. Today is sunny & melting.

I too wake up every night at 3-4 am. So, I’ve become accustomed to getting up between 4-5 am every morning.

Oh, Mick, so sorry about the broken, bleeding tooth! Ouch -in your mouth and in your wallet. And a car repair too.

I did just get a condo, PQ. But I’m finding it to be too big for me to take care of with all the pain and mobility problems, and I started desiring something smaller.

I doubt that a bigger shoe would help, as I don’t need extra length. It feels like I need a bigger interior.
I’m supposed to be getting used to the orthotic, but I’m finding it to be enough of a challenge for my foot and leg to get used to the big, built-up sole on the couple pairs of shoes I managed to get altered. That alone is painful to my foot & leg muscles, and causes a lot of rubbing on the little toe.

I too was wondering if Det is still with his lady friend!

PQ, I bet the kids love the snow hills! I loved playing on the snow hills in elementary school. Well, we didn’t have any playground equipment, so they were it!

I went in for a massage today, and my nice therapist could tell what a mess my body was everywhere, so she said since she didn’t have a client right after me, she was just going to keep working on me until everything was addressed. I felt pain relief and a bit more hopeful after that!

Lav, you’ve inspired me to want to make banana bread now! Except my foot feels done for the day…

Hope you’re all having a good enough weekend!

                  Good evening friends,

It seems we’ve had nearly 3” of rain. It’ stopped & now the winds have picked up. Better than snow I guess
Went out with YB in the truck this afternoon & there are definitely big puddles out there haha. This time of year some of the Amish farmers find themselves cash strapped especially if they don’t have a side gig going on. One of them called & asked for a loan to help pay a bank loan they have. This is not unusual & YB doesn’t charge them an arm & a leg in interest. So we went & delivered some cash, Lol. There’s a lot of trust between YB & his customers, works out well for everyone.

Mick, I don’t blame you for staying home in an icy wind. I can’t handle any of that anymore myself. You asked about the history of the Brandywine river, so here’s a link. The British won that battle as you can see. It’s interesting to walk around the battlefield area & read all the signs. https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?ori...2Fthestory.htm
                  Hope that works!

Slo, I imagine all that cold snow doesn't help your aches & pains. Warmer weather is on the way.
We’re still eating banana cake, Lol. Don’t need the calories right now but who cares? Have a good night.

PQ, hope your snow event is over & it starts melting quickly. Enough is enough, right?

Cyn, are You tied up working this weekend or busy with your DIL? Either way I hope it’s been an easy weekend.

Pie, hello to you & I know you’re not dealing with snow, thank goodness.

                  Have a nice night all!

Hello all, sorry to be away. A very intense but good time with my step-daughter… she is definitely going to move here - she put a deposit on an apartment… we looked together at several, but this was the one I thought would be best for her. We’re waiting to hear about acceptance.
Getting ready for her visit, also working, really has taken the starch out of me. I hardly moved today - just ate soup and whatever was in the fridge. Must be at the car place at 7 AM tomorrow, so at least I got a Day Off today.

i’ll Have some catching up to do - this app is not too great on the phone… I’m not sure that I got to read everyone’s posts, so I’ll reply to all soon.
                    thanks for your friendship -
