    Hey friends,
Slept a wee bit better last night so my brain isn’t quite as mushy as it was yesterday haha!! I did get up with a strong & clear understanding of just how pissed off I am with the patriarchy in this country. Nothing, not a damn thing has changed in my almost 71 years here. It’s not for lack of trying, believe me. The population here is getting more & more racist & misogynistic every day. Harris was a perfectly qualified candidate but she’s not an old white guy. It’s so sad, so many are going to suffer under the new regime. Sorry, I’ll drop it now.
Clear & cooler today hopefully with a little rain moving in tomorrow evening. Veterans Day on Monday, a holiday for some.

Slo, glad you got some good time in with your daughter. A magic show sounds like fun
These early morning awakenings are a pain but I don’t know what to do about them. I’ve eliminated caffeine for the most part so who knows? Enjoy your new window treatments, they sound nice.

Mick, I didn’t go anywhere today but YB said our little town was mobbed today too. He needed to get to a hardware store so had to deal with it himself.
Hope your detecting day is fun, go easy on the knee. Longwood is just starting to transition to Christmas, they were taking down all the Fall mum displays. We went primarily to see the new building they out up for the bonsais, very cool.

Hello to PQ, hope your day has been more comfortable.
Hellos to Cyn, Pie & everyone.

    Have a good night all!

I am in Young Daughter’s college town! We had lunch together yesterday, and shopped some together until I maxed out the time I can stand on my feet, and had to take to a bed to recover from what should be a normal amount of activity. So we just watched TV together in her room until it was time for her to go to her swim team pasta party. I went to a magic show at the campus union! Turns out the father of one of her swim teammates is a professional magician! It was a very good show. Today we will meet for breakfast, and I will watch her swim meet this afternoon.

A larger air fryer is a good idea for you, Lav; as that is your main cooking device, and you can expand your repertoire now!
It must be hard to have your sleep so messed up. I awaken at 4 am, which pretty frustrating, but not that unusual for my age group. So my days start early.
I am getting new window treatments for my bedroom, and for the dining area. They are all pretty much just white; Roman shades in the bedroom, and cellular blinds in the dining room.

PQ, I think we cross-posted/cross-viewed the other day. So the fractured arm is fine, and maybe the neck pain is not necessarily related too much to the fracture? Hmm.
Work was bound to get busy with some sort of deadline, I suppose. But that unfortunately pushes your hours out for longer each day. TGI the weekend!

Mick, maybe you have some good pur

    Good evening friends,

Would you believe me if I told you I haven’t slept more than an hour straight since Tuesday election day? I just keep waking up, flipping over & going back to sleep for an hour, waking, etc. At this point my brain pretty much feels like mush. Good thing there’s no test coming up soon, haha! I cannot understand how/why so many people voted for that criminal.
Distracted my self today by baking a batch of flourless almond cookies (yum) & a pizza in the new air fryer/oven. Both turned out nice.

PQ, with your symptoms have you seen a neurologist? I think that would be my preference especially since it’s your neck involved. Lucky you didn’t actually fracture anything in yuor neck, yikes!!! I tried but could tolerate the osteoporosis meds when I got the diagnosis. I found the SaveOurBones program & learned a lot. I am naturally clumsy & have taken more than my fair share of spills over the last 20 years. I have & continue to rebuild bone naturally following the program. It’s something we can all do pretty easily. Aiming for a more alkaline (less acidic diet) & some exercise does wonders. Good luck & have a super restful weekend. We may be getting some rain Sunday & Monday - finally!

Mick, hope you’re feeling better too. I hate headaches, ugh.

Slo, how was your day? Any weekend excitement coming up?

Hello to Cyn & Pie & everyone.

    Have a nice night all!

MAE ALL…all I can say is IT’S THE WEEKEND! Been a stressful week with meeting some unexpected Government deadlines, so some long days.
Never did book a physio appointment. Turns out my provincial coverage only applies to fractures or post-surgery. Just as well as my arm is fine with no pain. Still getting nerve pain in my fingers from my neck/spine. The bone density results show I have Osteoporosis, pretty obvious since I can’t straighten my neck. Rheumatologist called today to get me to follow up with my family Dr. as she’ll probably start me on some new meds. I see her next Friday. Still waiting to hear about my MRI.
Posting this from work as it doesn’t hurt as much to type at my desk as opposed to typing at home where I’m not set up very good. I’m still exhausted by the time I get home so hopefully after seeing my Dr. things will improve and I can start posting regularly.
Hope all is well with everyone. Have a good night…PPQP

    Good evening everyone,

I’m trying real hard to adjust to this new reality but it’s not easy when your phone is blowing up all day with texts from concerned friends & relatives. We all feel the same way but our hands are more or less tied. I just cannot believe how stupid so many people were in voting for the felon/pig. What were they actually thinking?
we took a trip to Costco today to buy the usual stuff we get there. Right inside the door was a huge display of new, bigger air fryer ovens for $99. The next thing I knew one was in the cart haha!!I don’t mind giving up a few more inches of counter space to get a much bigger cooking area. Came home, plugged it in & roasted a half turkey breast - came out perfect!!

Mick, glad you’re keeping busy & I’m sure the girls had a nice outing with Elouise.
I’ve been having all kinds of extra aches & pains the past few days, could` be due to the extra stress. I’m sitting here now watching an episode if Sister Boniface. She’s a pice of work, LOL

Slo, I hope the electrodes & red light therapy give you some relief! I’m always fascinated by modern day therapies.good `that 3. Out of 4 daughters voted for the right person, sad we got the results we did though. We did go to Longwood Gardens yesterday, it was a good distraction for a few hours. All the improvements they are making are amazing, something to see for sure. What kind of window treatments are you getting?

Hello to PQ, Cyn, Pie & everyone.
    Have a good night all!

We’re the illness & ailment gang for sure! I have not seen The Diplomat, but I will take it as a recommendation, Mick.
I guess it would be pretty frustrating to watch other people eat if you can’t eat that good food.
Your furniture must really shine now! You take good care of things.
That’s where the British people are a little savvier: they know they made a mistake with who they voted in, but our Trump followers are cult-like.
That’s funny that you forgot your anniversary -but I can see that it doesn’t matter much since it marks only 12 years, and you’ve been together for more like 30!

PQ, it’s almost Friday! One more day in the work week.

I have my electrodes on now for my home Neuropathy Recovery Program. I have two hours per day of electrodes and red light therapy.

Lav, yes I agree that our democracy is now at risk. This is bad. Did you skip Longwood Gardens? What a shock to go to bed thinking that Harris would take your state, and then getting the shock that Trump took it in the morning! My daughter that I wasn’t sure about DID vote for Harris! So that’s three out of four daughters with good heads on their shoulders, and only one who may have been influenced to the dark side by her husband.

I had some windows measured for window treatments this morning! In my bedroom and the dining room.

    Ta-ta for now!

Good afternoon everyone how are we today then? Hope everyone is doing good despite the circumstances and political climate we live in. It certainly is torrid times. The difference between America and the UK is there are very very few supporters of the prime minister even the ones who elected him have turned their backs on him whilst Over There There is obviously a massive support for Trump. It matters not both are unwanted and certainly have crazy ways of governing we shall just need to see what happens. Julie has gone down to see Amy and Elouise today. They are going out for a mew so it's really pointless me going for a plate of dribbling mince or soup! Mind you to be honest today's dinner consists of soft noodles. Just finished polishing up the conservatory furniture it's sanded down well and Danish oil up really nice don't know if anyone has seen it, but I have just finished watching the Diplomat the second series absolutely riveting. Apart from that not a lot to tell you really over here full stop it is overcast but dry at the moment full stop my knee is giving me a little bit of painless morning but nothing spectacular apart from that I'm on top of the world hope everyone is okay in the illness and ailments gang take care and look after yourselves

    Greetings all,

When I turned the TV off last night at 11:30 pm Harris was way ahead of Trump in PA. What the hell happened after that is a mystery to me. I’ve been sad, anxious & nauseous all day. I just can’t figure out why anyone would willingly vote for an outright fascist who calls himself a Republican. This whole thing is so sad & scary.
I had previously gotten member only tickets for Longwood Gardens today to see the new improvements. I thought it would be a day to celebrate not cry. Sorry, I’m just thoroughly disgusted with my fellow citizens today.

PQ, good to see you checking in no matter how brief. Hope you can start your therapy soon.

Slo, I’ll likely be losing a few friends & family members over this election. I just don’t care for them anymore. Glad you got out for some air & exercise yesterday. Hope yuor Huxley time was fun.

Mick, our Congress & Supreme court are now packed with Trump-ites & don’t forget all the federal judges he previously appointed. Together they will give him anything he wants, screw the Constitution & democracy. This whole thing is just sickening.

Hello to Pie & Cyn & everyone.
Let’s all try to get some sleep tonight

Well what can I say ...you have 4 years now of Trump...thats a wake up call not only for America but also the rest of the free world ..Nato and Europe better start looking inwards !!And also us ...at the moment we have a government on a similar par to yours ..though probably a leader who is more inept and wokey compared to yours. Our government has been slagging him off left right and centre ...interestingly they are all back pedalling now.And of course his best mate from Britain ..Farage ...wonder how Trump is going to use him.
we an only wait and see what kind of mess the world ends up in .
took camera out this morning, not a lot around tbh. but its nice to get out .mouth is really sore but it did take a bit of a pasting.
    big hiya to everyone .

Ugh!! Such sad news this morning! My one little vote wasn’t enough to make a difference. I should’ve tried to influence others I guess…it’s tricky here though since it’s “dangerous” to talk politics since we’re so polarized; you can lose relationships easily if you talk politics. I have one daughter though whom I suspect may have been swayed to vote Republican…I should’ve worked on her. There’s another daughter whom I’m actually not sure how she voted either…the other two I know are on “my side”. Ex-HB is militantly Republican and a Trump backer, so there’s his influence too. I guess I need to move beyond just my own vote. Except the damage is done now. Trump can do a lot of damage in four years.

The mouth guard should be a good diagnostic tool, Mick.
My medical appointment was fine. In this phase we are focusing more on my arthritic and straight neck more, and less on my lower back. I’m still struggling with this nerve-damaged foot, and trying to do too much on it, and causing pain & problems.

Lav, even your “English” neighbor didn’t heed the message about the burn ban! Idiot indeed. Lots more rain here today.

PQ, I bet you’re wiped if you are increasing your hours at work. Can see where needs must though.

I got a little bike ride in outside yesterday, in between rain then wind, and before temperature drop!

Another medical appointment today, and pick Huxley up from daycare today.

    Good evening all,

I don’t generally pray for a whole lot but this election frenzy has my gut feeling quite uneasy
How could we possibly survive another Trump term in the White House, he’s such a truly ugly person in all aspects. The entire Republican party has lost their minds. We need peace & strength not 4 years of ugliness. Let is all pray….
My daughter did visit for a few hours today, we had a nice time. My granddaughter didn’t come because she had a babysitting job. She’s saving all her earnings too!

Slo, now that the Amish are getting the news about the burn ban some idiot who lives around the corner from us decided today was a good day to burn his 500 ft hedgerow - duh! Had the fire company there for a few hours this afternoon. They have to bring a tanker truck for water to put fires out. There’s no city water lines out here in cow country. I hope they send that guy a big fat bill to cover costs. Lucky you getting rain, still waiting here. I hope you enjoyed your Huxley time!

Mick, sorry about all the hassle getting to the dentist & all the trouble once you were in the chair. Glad to hear they decided on the mouth guard for you. Hopefully they will find the source of your troubles & make adjustments. Any detecting days coming up or is it too soon?

Hello to PQ, Pie, Cyn & everyone. Have a good night all & please keep us in your thoughts - Lol

afternoon all ...how are we doing today then? hopefully all is good .Was at the dentist this morning ...smash on the

motorway ..took over an hour in the chair to get the screws out of my mouth ,one wouldnt come out ...ended up with 2 implant specialists on it ....back next Tuesday to get it refitted .
You know them kind of days you know are special but you cant remember why .?I found out ...its my wedding anniversary...12vyears today ...though we have been together 30...you cant rush into these things .

Just watching the election circus over your way ...not a lot different from ours ...all in it for their own gain .

hiya Slo ,how are you doing?hope all is good over there. hope your medical appointment went ok .

hiya Lav how are you doing? hope things are ok .One of the things that the dentist reckons is that possibly the break is due to the strain from grinding or slide biting during the night .So Ive got to wear a guard that they are making for night times for 8 weeks to see if it marks it with bites ..then they can make adjustments .hope the election goes the way you all want it .

hiya ppqp ...how are you doing? still as sore?hope you are on the mend

    hiya pie n teegee.

Interesting to learn a bit about Amish customs. That’s a good idea to have YB have his Amish contacts spread the news about the burn ban.
Did your daughter come over, Lav?

I picked Huxley up today from daycare after my medical appointment. It drizzled rain all day.

I solve the election hoopla by keeping the TV and radio off. I just can’t stand it. Get plenty of frenzy on my phone though. I have to go vote tomorrow. Think I’ll try mid afternoon.

That’s enough in case this doesn’t post!
