MAE ALL…am I glad today is over. I’m so done with the assistant childcare director; everything is all about her. She doesn’t even pick up on my eye rolls and blank stares. LOL Boss took the day off, usually that’s a good thing but he’d been juggling a few things and of course they all called me when they couldn’t get ahold of him. Finalizing craft sale details, harassing childcare staff to sign the card so I could get the flowers ordered and sorting out a double kitchen rental booking the boss made resulted in a headache before I left tonight.

Mick…hope you didn’t have to wait too long at the hospital and that your FIL’s op went ok. Had to laugh when you said Trump’s appointees should have been his cellmates. You’re so right.

Slo…another childcare director with terminal cancer, unreal. I wonder if it’s our health care systems taking so long to be seen by a primary care provider with follow-up. I’m so glad I have a family doctor, thousands in Alberta don’t. Nice that you have adult company for a couple of days.

Lav…oh no, I hope whatever you picked up you can get over quickly. I could just feel every ache and pain you described. OMG just heard that JFK Jr. has been appointed US Health Secretary, you have to stay healthy to stay out of the healthcare system. Managed to get the card signed and the flowers ordered. They’ll be delivered tomorrow morning so should be safe that she won’t have been moved to hospice before then.

Craft sale starts at 2:30 tomorrow and goes until 6:30pm. Don’t think I’ll have to stay until closing but it’ll be a long day none the less. The facility staff on tomorrow night is fairly new so as long as I explain that everything needs to be locked down before she leaves things should be ok. Have a good night all…PPQP

      Good evening group,

thought I was feeling better today until I wasn’t, haha! I’m not exactly a super patient- patient if you know what I mean. Just had some people over to pick up a pillow order & they left me with a bunch of tote bags they need kids names embroidered on for Christmas gifts. I told them not to get too close to me just in case I’m infectious.
Cool & sunny here today. We ended up getting .03” of rain overnight, nice but not nearly enough. The fire company is still responding to multiple brush fires each day & the Amish won’t stop their end of the season burning, ugh.

PQ, sorry you’re being pulled in so many directions when you’re still not 100% yourself. Where has all the mercy gone?I can remember stepping up to help out & fill in for coworkers when they weren't feeling well. Sorry you have to deal with all that on top of everything. Hope the craft fair went well.

Hello to Mick, Slo, Cyn, Pie & everyone.
let’s all have a nice night.

        Greetings to all,

Wow, you had a lot going on at work, PQ! And now a craft fair to put on! That rings in the holiday season.

Oh, we adults spent plenty of time with Huxley too! Mother & Sister babysat him while D2 and I went to medical appointments, and then all five of us had dinner together. The next day I brought him back to my place after daycare, and the three of us babysat him for awhile. He sure is entertaining, and a real charmer! Then the three of us went out for a fancy dinner at a quiet restaurant, and that was a nice child-free time.

You sound like you’re quite sick, Lav. I hope it doesn’t linger too long. The tote bag project should be pretty fun! I just got a holiday sweatshirt with cats on it (with Christmas greenery around them). It should keep me warm when the colder weather hits. A person whom I follow on social media who makes fun of boomer moms was wearing it (so she would look like a boomer mom), and everyone in the comments wanted to know where she got the sweatshirt from!

I’m traveling tomorrow to go see baby Ayla! Can’t wait to snuggle that bright-eyed little bean! And also 2 y/o Andy, and D3 & son-IL3.

Hope all is good with Mick & his FIL.
