MAE ALl...it gets so confusing when I try to figure out what the quit day count is. I started the patch on Dec 6th (I put it on at 8pm for 24hrs) so this is Day 8 or the start of Week 2. I will wear the "Step 1" (21 mg) patch for 6 weeks, then "Step 2" (14 mg) for 2 weeks and finally "Step 3" (7 mg) for 2 weeks. A 10 week program. So to not tax my brain I will go with day 1 of the 2nd week = 8 days. LOL

This was the longest 5 day week we've had in awhile and the boss said he blames it on me. Haha Everybody is SO DONE! We are hosting a "Family Craft Day" tomorrow afternoon so I will be popping in to make sure the facility staff know what they're doing. Then I'm scheduled for my flu shot. Normally I would get both the Flu & Covid shots together but I'm thinking instead of Covid I should get one of the respiratory vaccines (Prevnar, RSV) instead. I'll discuss with the pharmacist.

Mick...if I remember right, you're off to Amy's to drop off Julie and then go to your detecting treasures sale? Sending positive vibes for a successful sale. I had the same thought as Slo...
Mick, what does that mean, that you sat in the chair for an hour without talking to Julie? Just too chicken to ask the question. LOL

Lav...I so agree with "If some people will just do their damn jobs" LOL We have to declare "Our Objectives" every year and the boss reviews to see if we're on track. (I meet with him on Wednesday, to review what I submitted) I told him, verbally, that it's time for me to wind down. My objective is to document "what I do" so someone can take over the extra's - Christmas Craft Sale, Community Garden, Community Clean Up, Community Garage Sale and then organize/create "Process Documents" (many of which I've already created) so anyone can carry on the day to day if needed. The boss has made it a mandate for everyone to create their "Job Bibles" and heads up, they will play a major factor in their "Employee Review" at the end of the year. Sorry for rambling....Oh My, got a feeling Dave's breath wasn't the greatest. LOL

Slo...yup, I'm hanging in there, and thank you, your words mean a lot. Accountant is down to 3 days a week and the boss is definitely "Quiet Firing" her. Quite frankly I'm surprised she's still here. She is really a good person and has been there for me personally when I've needed help with food/money. Oldest son told me he was asked to "house sit" up north for friends that are going to be away for Xmas. I told him that we don't do much here so if he wants to it's ok. I would just worry about him being alone on Christmas Day, but I didn't tell him that. Just now he told me that he's heading up north tomorrow but will be home for Christmas. Apparently these friends of his have been celebrating a different "Christmas Tradition" every weekend. Sounds like a lot of work to me! Sorry about the "Weather Whiplash" but glad you are fortified now.

Thinking of the rest of the gang, especially at this time, hope all are well. Have a good night...PPQP

PQ, I’m glad that oldest son will be home for Christmas with you and younger son!
Yes, I can see where you might be needing to think ahead to winding down, and start the process of delegating off some of your responsibilities.
You have an extensive “job bible” to write! Good thing that you already have that well underway.

Interesting to learn what the nicotine step-down program is like.
I stepped down too abruptly from my antidepressant by cutting it in half across the board. That was rough. I will drag it out and step down much more slowly on the rest of it.

Lav, it must be satisfying to make a bread product. It’s very tactile, and is an art as well as a science to have the product turn out right.
What a funny picture of Dave!
I didn’t even realize it was Friday the 13th!

I tried to do too much the other day on my feet & walking, and have kicked the neuropathy symptoms into high gear. I’m starting to doubt that this is curable. Will do what I can, though.
I am emotionally exhausted after doing a program three times this week, but a super intense one today; to release old emotions and traumas. I just blubbered uncontrollably. Hopefully a lot of the negative charge is gone now.
I have started on a regime of a vast array of minerals & nutrients & vitamins that are supposed to be healing to the brain & body. Day two of those. So far so good.

Babysat Huxley for a bit last night, but wasn’t in the mood for it (pain, fatigue etc.) Also did “decorating a gingerbread house” with him beforehand, per D2’s wishes. She overreached, and tried to bake sugar cookies to decorate, and tried to bake gingerbread men as well (that flopped), as well as open the gingerbread house kit and try to get that thing put together.Just too much… he’s only 2; he doesn’t need that much to get the experience of playing with decorating with frosting and candies.

I guess Mick must be busy with FIL care.

      Happy Saturday!
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

        Hey everyone,

It's still bitter cold here. Woke up to 22 degrees this morning & it's only 29 now. I guess with rain expected for the next 6 days it should warm up a bit.
Went to the grocery store for essentials, came home &did more Amazon shopping but I think I'm about done now. I'm stitching up more of those Santa face ornaments as we speak, everyone is getting one whether they want one or not Lol

PQ, I'm so happy to hear you're following the quit plan, you're doing great!
Your boss should get a real eye opening when he reads your manifesto, haha! I'm sure he doesn't have full knowledge of all you do on a daily basis let alone all the special events.
I hope both sons can be home with you for Christmas. TBH, Dave has lovely breath haha!!!
(You should really get all of the available vaccines D/T your compromised respiratory system. I've had all except RSV)

Slo, it's hard but we have to learn to pace ourselves. I keep thinking about the million miles I used to walk in a day working in the hospitals - can't do that anymore, no way!! And yo know once your feet hurt they're always going to hurt, sadly. Keeping up with your therapies & pacing yourself with the kid activities is enough, at least for now.
I love baking, it actually relaxes me in a way. I have learned lots of techniques over the years, have had plenty of failures (learning opportunities). I found the best way to buy good fresh yeast is not in the individual packets but in a larger compressed 'cake' from King Arthur Flour & once opened I keep it in the fridge, lasts forever. I agree with you, a 2 yr old is a bit too young to be helpful baking or decorating anything Lol

Hello to Mick, Cyn, Pie & everyone.
        Have a good night all!

        Lav
