    Aunty Mame
Hi there. Daylight savings just ended for us on Monday. I still feel horrible and groggy from losing one hour of sleep. I feel like I don't know what is wrong with me - ugh! maybe it's something else...

My depression manages me for the most part although I have been on ADs for the last 3 years or so; coming off them at the moment. Suffered since i was a teenager and been really bad on a number of occasions. The worst thing about is the isolation and utter self loathing. The drinking is all part of it although giving up is definitely a step in the right direction. PM me if you want.

I did read somewhere that the time change has a similar effect to jet lag, and it can take a week or so for the body clock to adjust.

thanks Joanna - I will pm you!
It is reassuring also, to know other people also can't adjust their internal clocks so easily.
thatgirl - oh, that sounds so hard! I don't know what to say to you, some people go to the chat room and that helps them...

Congrats on sticking to it TG. I've always said, whether you are dieting or quitting drinking, it can be viewed as a selfish thing. Something that you do for yourself. Your mother and brother can make their own decisions.

What has helped me is checking in here everyday that I can. If your family can't be your support, we here can be. Good luck and I hope to see you tomorrow.

                  Mo.

Tom- that is great that someone at work noticied a change! You must be doing great for that to happen.

DG- Yes, I am going to have a kick ass time in Mexico, thanks for that.

AWIP- You had a pretty rough childhood...it is amazing you are doing so well. My childhood was pretty good and look at me!

Mo- I totally know that alcohol does not help to sleep, I could have wrote THAT article.
                    TG-Hang in there!

Hey everyone, 3 weeks and Narilly is sober and NOT hungover! YES, it makes me very happy. I really don't have any desire to drink now. My friend tells me that some people go through a 'pink cloud' phase where they don't feel like they are missing drinking and they have no problem with it but it is usually temporary. I hope this isn't a pink cloud- but at least I can say that right now it is not a struggle not to drink.
                    Thanks for this thread.

                    Love,

I think that's the key; don't go back to anything, try to be the person you want to be.

LVT I love the baby cow! So cute

I remember my first science lesson at a new school my teacher talked about delivering a calf that was in the breach (sp?) position. The kid next to me fainted, then threw up xD

                            Happy (cough) Wednesday (sneeze) ABeroooooos!!

whew, another long day of driving with this miserable cold. although listening to chapter 6 of 'a new Earth' has been helping my frame of mind. I'm uncomfortable but I'm ok with being uncomfortable. trying to change how I feel will only add another layer of discomfort on my current state. ok, I hope that made sense.

the topic of role playing is very interesting indeed. the ego and it's close friend the 'pain body' just love role playing and will have us playing roles within roles in no time flat.

Dx is out with friends tonight so I'll finally get a chance to get caught up here and jump on chat. weeee! been missing my chat friends.

DG, so sorry I managed to infect you over the website (lysol your screen more often) and there's no such thing as too much garlic, so start peeling.

well, I refuse to play the role of "introverted sickly alchy dude". Instead i shall be "super garlic flavored mega happy man!" and so...with my cape flapping in the breeze I'm off to bestow happiness to all that will have it

                            be well my friends

LVT, love the cows! I just love them. I use to run in the mornings and I always encountered this friendly cow behind a fence. We would have great conversations. hahahaha then I would be on my merry way. I couldn't eat beef for a very long time. No word of a lie.

Det & DG, I hope you both feel better soon.

Our trip on the Double decker buses were completely awesome! It was the perfect day for it. Sunny, a bit on the chilly side; but so pretty. She was in awe. Once we got to the top we sat right in front. I honestly felt motion sickness for about 10 minutes LOL! After the feelings left; it was super cool! (as I was praying for no accidents!!). We had an ice cream down town and then headed back home.

                                Fun, fun, fun!
