Good Morning All! I am on vacation for two weeks!!!! Yeah!!! Hey DG your bit about college drinking brought back lots of memories for me. My first experience away from home was on Semester at Sea. I was 18 and there was a bar on the ship that opened with happy hour at 5 PM. Guess where I was every day? No wonder I failed my 7:30 pm class. Which is sooo regretful because it was geology and now i teach geology. A couple of years later I away at a college that served beer in the cafeteria beginning at noon. Guess where I was? No wonder I "flunked" out of college twice before getting a 4 year degree at the ripe old age of 28. It's painful to look back at our lives. Somehow I have to get a sense of humor and to laugh about it but I'm not there yet. I'm so thankful that this break from work will not revolve around drinking. Have a great AF day everyone!

I forgot to check in this morning. My mother came over so the lot of us went to a nearby city to do some shopping and lunch... tonight I have a date with MR. HOT.

Hello all!
Well, this is my 25th day AF..... I am thrilled with my progress....lots of support from the MWO gang, and lots of prayer.....today is my birthday, and of course, you know what kind of thoughts go through your head.....husband wants to take you out to a nice dinner........OH, horror, I am mourning the fact, and realization, I CAN NEVER HAVE A GLASS OF WINE AGAIN.......so sad.....I did this to myself...I am 58 years old today and things that my husband and I used to love, I have ruined.............(((((((
I am so happy to be feeling better, sleeping better, thinking better.....it is hard to get past these milestones without that old friend AL......what a friend, with friends like that, who needs enemies???
I am so much better off, and I do not want to go back to where I was, NO WAY....so keep me in your thoughts as I struggle with the reality of all my transgressions....yes, I have asked for forgiveness, but I have to forgive myself.....I am not there yet.....thank you! H

It was a long day at the wrestling meet after a late night at the b-ball game--I think I am more exhausted than my son--and he's the wrestler!!

Happy Birthday southernbelle!! It gets easier to celebrate occasions in different ways.

Also Hulagirl--just where does one go on vacation when they live in Hawaii? Or did you mean a stay at home vacation from work?

Hey Mo. My back yard. Off work for Spring Break and have no travel plans. Those come up in the summer when family obligations call. The only places we go are to see family in Washington and California. Some vacation. I guess the best part of travel is coming home.

I'm here! late again....one crazy weekend. have a very good friend staying with us from out of town I havent' seen in years and he's a non drinker!!!!! yeah! so we are bounding around having some fun.
