    Happy April All.

    Just back from a great trip and guess what - I took my gym stuff and used it! Woohoo!

    Today I've been to yoga, and a walk run on the treadmill.

    I listen to my ipod when on the treadmill, but quite often get tangled, the armband thingy gives me a rash, and putting it in my sportsbra seemed to work well until Betty got a bit too sweaty and I've lost the screen pic. Any suggestions?

          The swimming pool at my gym is closed AGAIN for cleaning. They only did it a few months ago. Bah. I NEED my swimming reward after a workout.

            hey Marshy I am with you- it sucks not to be able to swim. i haven't for about a month now because I have this stupid inner ear virus and I can't chance swimming. SO I have been doing step classes and whatever else I can do. Today I worked out on the exercise ball- good for the core.

            I love to exercise so that is good- I know how I miss it when I go away- Peacenik.
            Keep up the yoga SB- I always find Yoga a great workout.

              ahhhhh, swimming! i can't wait for warm weather so i can partake!

              i fast walked 1.25 hours yesterday and did arm weights and core exercises with some yoga.
              am going to push myself today.
              i have lost 17 lbs since i quit drinking! yay!

                17lbs! Wow! That is great, Peace.

                I am going out for a power walk this afternoon while kiddies are in school.

                First and foremost I need to buy an IPod and load it with motivating music.

                      I have just walked the dogs for 45 mins and run for 40 mins

                      Great going on the 17 pounds peace, I could do with losing about 10

                        Cycled to work - and I'm here too early! I was on "getting the bus time" instead of "super speedy cycling time" (ahem) and left home before I should have done. :H

                        Peace - 17lb is great! How many weeks/months is that?

                          Good on you for cycling to work Marshy - especially in London! - is it safe?? I'm going to try and work out a reasonable route here as I'm fortunate in that there are cycle routes pretty much all the way to work. I watched braver people than I brave the elements all through the winter, but now Spring's here I thought I'd try and join them at least 3x per week - on my list of things to do now not drinking and hungover in the mornings!

                          Also did my first stint running for fun with a group yesterday - really enjoyed the company and helped the motivation. We're a mixed group but will probably divide to get two groups of more equal levels, with the aim to do a 5k or 10k race in a few months all together and party afterwards! I'm hoping that socialising without drinking alcohol will feel more normal by then!

                          Peace - 17lbs! Congratulations, SO, good luck with the 10 - I'm assured running is a sure fire way of losing lbs so fingers crossed!

                            morning all...i can't wait for the blasted snow to be gone, i want to exercise outside so badly!!!

                            i quit drinking (except for 3 drinks on sunday) on 1/1/09, haven't really changed my diet except for that.

                            going to the treadmill soon...if it wasn't a complete slushy mess outside, i would be going out!

                              my husband got a step up thingy and i did "step aerobics" for about 45 minutes and the treadmill for 30 with arm weights plus 100 different ab exercises...

                                Did a walk run on the treadmill. Trying to get outside but it either soo hot or big raining so no joy yet. Did a Yoga DVD, am finding that I'm a lot less flexible when I'm running as well. Weight is absolutely stuck. Going to do another 4 week AF from Monday as I really need it to start going down. I really don't recognise myself in photos........
