    On my second week AF!!!

Hi, everyone. I joined this site last Monday, 1 June 2009, and I'm delighted to say I'm now into my second week of AF! I'm eatting well, exercising well, and "thinking" well--these components, I'm confident, are working well for me. Hope everyone proceeds with the goal of this month's June abstinence! Cheers. Macbarry.

          Macbarry,

          Good job.

All three of those components should be the key ingrediants for kick starting your program.

Keep up the great attitude. I was just thinking they other day that attitude is everything.

                      On my second week AF!!!

Thank you, everyone, for your support and encouragement.... This site is proving to be a tremendous source of fellowship for me. By the way, my doctor would not prescribe meds for me last week, but gave me the name of a psychologist he recommended I see. And..if the psychologist thought meds were in order, he said he would act in conjunction with him in getting me the right "stuff." So far, L-glutamine + L-theanine are doing wonders keeping my cravings at bay. I have had some situational desires for wine, i.e. two meals out with my husband (who is capable of having only one glass), but my three-times-a-day round of these supplements is proving invaluable.

In addition, though I've only seen this psychologist three times so far (once last week to meet-and-greet/ and twice this week), I'm feeling this is a genuine/empowering opportunity to address issues which have factored into my method of withdrawl, stress alleviation, desire for isolation, etc.

Anyway...many, many, many thanks to you all for taking the time to drop me a note.:thanks:
