Weekly AA Thread - Week of July 6 - 12
I went to my first AA meeting today. After I left, I went to my niece's house for her son's birthday party. She has been sober since 1987. I arrived a 1/2 hour before anyone else did so I told her I had just come from an AA meeting. After leaving the party I called my best friend and told her that I had been to an AA meeting. I don't know how successful I will be but it feels so good to know that I have the support of AA now, and that I am slowly letting those I love know about my drinking problem.
