    Greeting from an isolated island

    Hi!
Finally I hope I found where I am supposed to start writing. I am Loba and I am new on this scene. Just almost finished my second week with Topamax etc. I live on an isolated island in the Atlantic ocean and at 77 I might be one of the oldest members in MWO(?). I had to get all the stuff from the Internet because there is nothing here. I have difficulties with the CDs because I don't find stairs pleasant descend :thanks: without handrails! I am referring to the Clearing CD of course. So I have dropped that one.
My first side effect was that my beer had to go down the drain! Tasted that awful! And so did all carbonated drinks that followed and they were not from cans as it said in Robertas book. Today I felt a bit of tingling in my had for the first time. As for mixing up words it is normal with me as I normally speak, read and write 3 different languages every day. My doctor does not know English but I hope to get hold of him next week and explain the Lancet article to him. Thanks for your attention. From Loba

I look forward to getting to know you.
There are lots of friendly people here who I'm sure would appreciate some views and opinions from a more mature perspective.

      Greeting from an isolated island

      Hello Loba,

Welcome, glad to hear from you!
I'm not sure where you are located but I am in the US. I'm 55, is that close enough to 77?

If you can, locate the 'Just Starting Out' section on the front community page. In there is a thread called 'Newbies Nest'. Lots of new people of all ages post there, you might just like it!

Please stay in touch, let us know how you are doing.
      Best Wishes,

          Hi loba and :welcome:

Thank goodness you're older than me. I thought I was oldest, except for Noelle and bluzgtar. Curious about where you live and your story. Can't wait to get to know you better!

                        Greeting from an isolated island

                        Hello and welcome Loba!!!
You have found a wonderful sight full of information, insight and support.
Good on you for pouring away the beer....one good side effect of Topamax!
As far as your comments about the clearing CD :H:H:H,...you can imagine there are handrails if you want to. Or even better you could imagine you had a handsome chaperone 'helping you' to descend the stairs (the imagination is a wonderful thing )

Looking forward to seeing you more on the boards. Your 'isolated island' sounds interesting. Would love you to 'paint us a picture' by explaining more about it.

                              Hi Loba,

Good to meet you. I don't think age matters, it is the moment that counts. It sounds as though you are doing well, and I too look forward to hearing more from you.

I think we have all felt isolated in our struggle regardless of geography.

                              :welcome:
I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you.
