day 3
funny how quickly the mind forgets the bad bits and remembers the good bits. I love the first couple of glasses of wine after work, which is now. I hate the end of the second bottle, waking up fully dressed, not remembering what i said to the kids or what they said to me. Even worse I hate when I pass out just before the end of the bottle and it becomes breakfast.

day 3
It is very quick to forget and they say that every day you are sober the booze is in the next room doing press ups. A really good technique is to write down the reasons why you want to stop. You can write it down on paper, on a blog or post it somewhere online here.
Someone started a very good thread and a lot of people contributed.
Writing reasons to stop drinking does work, as does writing down reasons to stay sober - it all contributes to change.
The first few days are the toughest - you'll really start noticing the benefits soon. Congratulations on making a positive start and keep it up!My sobriety blog http://drfeelgood.wordpress.com/
