Thanks for starting the thread peacenik. Sleeping under the stars sounds so peaceful! (no pun intended) Are there really mountain lions?

I'm feeling extra grateful today for the beautiful weather I are having. I'm going to go outside and soak up as much sunshine as I can.

Have a great af day everyone.

Hmmm - well more damp than sunny here today!
Busy, busy week at work and I am shattered - got 3 day weekend off though - woo hoo!
Friends over tonight and we're off for a huge curry - both pregnant so no drinking or smoking - fabulous - need to just hang out with them for the next 9 months!
They sadly don't live here but will make effort to see them as much as possible - need whatever sober mates I can find. Hope pregnancy isn't catching...

I'm very tired today -off for lil snooze then may try to go on rebounder for 20 mins - was gonna run but too tired for that!
chocolate eating has continued - but building it into calorie limit for now so just going with it - the urge wasn't AS strong today so maybe I'm getting there.
have a good day everyone - it feels good to be AF and sf - I feel tired but 'clean'
      one day at a time

        Hi all,

Peace - have fun on the mountain

Lilmea - have fun in the sun

Bear - have fun in the Indian. Damn good thinking to hang out with pregnant women!

In a moment of madness I joined the work netball team today. Haven't played for getting on for 30 years and I'm bound to be the oldie of the group. Hey ho. These crazy things we do when we're sober.

        Have a good day/evening all.

Aloha and good morning All! A holiday today so no work. Statehood day which is really NOT celebrated because of many issues (land, power, poverty, culture) regarding the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy in 1898 followed by statehood in 1960. So I have a "free" day and an early start. I can not sleep in so the internal alarm has me up at 5:30. Well I guess that is sleeping in for about 15 - 30 minutes more than a work day. I guess it is good to keep the bio-rhythm in the beat. I will take care of some neglected house work if the centipede crossing my living room floor last night was an indication that the outdoors is moving indoors, and do a little exercise.

            Afternoon Abbers,

Hey peacenik - be sure to sleep with one eye open out there

lilmea, the sun was shining here too but now huge storm clouds are rolling in. This is Day 6 of our East coast heatwave, getting a bit tiresome!!

bear, thank goodness for fertile friends, huh??????

Marshy, netball sounds like our volley ball - be careful there girl

Centipedes hulagirl? Are they part of the magic of Kauai? I was picturing blue sky, blue waters, sweet smelling flowers........ In this neck of the woods we seem to be subject to field mice & spiders the size of my hand - they all want to move in eeekkk!!

Wishing you all a really good AF Friday!

More like basketball really, except you can't bounce the ball and run with it. You basically catch it and throw it but can only run when you don't have the ball. And there's a net at either end of the court to score in. As far as I can remember! It was 30 years ago... helppppp!

Spiders the size of your hand? Yikes.

Evening all (I sound like Dixon of Dock Green!),

The backpacking sounds great Peacenik, lovely to be in the wide open spaces under the stars.

Send us some of your sunshine lilmea.

Brilliant idea on the nine monthers bear.

When I think centipede hulagirl it's around an inch long, I imagine yours are somewhat larger.

No thanks to spiders the size of your hand Lavande, we have hunter spiders that come around the autumn time, they look very big on account of their long legs.

Netball Marshy, hated it, I always seemed to arrive too late to catch the ball and as for getting it in the net! I think you've got it right the skill is in the passing as I recall.
I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you.

                  Hey guys

Thanks everyone for your kind words about my results. I have yet to decide what to do next, so i figure I will, as my fiance would put it 'hobo around europe' for a few months whilst I come up with The Master Plan :P

Cinders: I can relate to your son drinking so young, I started drinking on a nightly basis at 13, was an alcoholic by my 15th Birthday - I'm one of the lucky ones in that I got myself sorted (hopefully) in time.

Marshy: I hated netball, loved basket ball. Naturally the physical education (thats gym to our american friends) policy at our school was amazingly sexist - I only got to play basket ball for two terms, then it was netball, gymnastics or some other 'suitable' sport for girls. Personally I always prefered the mens games: rugby, football and basketball. Never liked watching them though...

                  Anywho, happy AF Friday all

Well, a nice romp up & down a basketball court could be great exercise Marshy - I used to play in high school (back in the previous century) ha ha.
About the spiders ladies - we live in a rural farm area. The lot my home was built on 6 years ago had been a hayfield for many years. We also have a large wooded area nearby. It just seems to be perfect spider breeding ground. I have an exterminator come & spray around the outside of the house monthly during the warm weather months which helps prevent them from getting inside. Hopefully the birds, dogs and other small animals help to keep them in check as well

                          Aloha Friday ABeroooooos!

Peacenick, nice start and I'm sooo jealous you are camping. I love camping and being in nature. if you leave a tin of catfood for the mountain lions maybe they will leave you alone? I have no idea just kidding. We are supposed to have mountain lions here in north NV but I've yet to see one myself. I think they are so aware and cautious that you'd never see one unless they are hungry and injured.

Skittles, I'm with you. No drinking today and I'm good with that

taking Dx to see the new movie 'District 9' tomorrow. I saw it once already and liked it very much.

                          be well,

Skittles, I LOOOOVE your name! Welcome!

Well, last night I blew it. I drank. I got so shitfaced and started fights with the new neighbours where I am moving to.... hahahaha. My sister invited me up for a BBQ and man did it turn out to be a disaster! She just moved into the complex in which I am moving too. Um, this can be bad news.

Anyway, sober but very hung over today. It isn't fucken worth it, drinking. Fuuuuuuuck!

Must go and have a cat nap before picking up Little AFM in an hour! Sheeeeeeee - ight!
