    September Abbercizers - The Wheezers not Geezers Locker Room!

    hellllllooooooo abbers...

    i did a strange thing (for me) i actually waked 3 miles this morning with another person! i killed two birds with one stone, meaning i am tackling my tendency to isolate myself and my difficulty in getting out early to exercise. it was pleasant and invigorating (even though she walked too slow for my taste!). then when i got home i ran on the treadmill for 2.25 miles and walked an extra 2.
    determinator, you mentioned more invigorating exercise to cobat cravings (in the daily thread) and i do do that. i power walk about a mile in 13 minutes mixed with running and hill work. :thanks: it definitely helps with cravings.

    ps did your partner make art for burning man? if so, what was it?

      Well, it is still hit and miss for me, but I'm getting some exercise anyway. Yoga yesterday and walked 2 miles tonight. A far cry from where I need to be with the race for the cure just 3 weeks away, but its the best I can do right now!

        good morning all.
        it's friday. dance tonight.
        i may just take the jazz class following classical ballet.
        i have been thinking about this all week.
        i know this is going to perk me up, i just know it.

        i've been doing fine, but i know that i need all the enthusiasm i can gather to make this no wine idea stick.
        and i want it to stick.

        what a better plan for friday night than dance class?

          I have been walking the dog 2 miles each morning before work and hoping and sometimes achieving of getting in another 2 afterwards.

          this weekend is my MS Walk so i will get in all my exercise at once. I am doing 30 of the 50 miles since i have to work today.

          need to start incorporating weight lifting. will work on that next week.

            Geez did we have a terrorist attack last Friday or what? Nobody has been to the gym since then? :b&d::sofa::b&d:

            DROP AND GIVE ME 50!! Oh wait. This is the locker room. Can't be having any dropping and giving 50 in here....dangling bits and all.

            Anyway...here's my report since sometime last week:

            Tuesday: Personal Torturer lower body & cardio
            Wednesday: Cardio
            Thursday: Personal Torturer upper body & cardio
            Friday: Lower Body, Abs and Cardio
            Saturday: Rest and Slacking
            Sunday: Upper body and cardio
            Monday: Cardio

                  Today Sam and I walked 2.5 miles, and I went to yoga class! And, the dishes did wait until I got home.

                    i've been walking and running 3-8 miles a day...only walked the past few days, but will run tomorrow if i'm over these damn withdrawals.

                      Yesterday - 45 min fast dog walk (chi in a huff an wouldn't come), 20 lengths of 40 metre pool, and 1.5 hr Yoga class.

                      Today, 1.5 hour yoga class so far. Am not speaking to Mr Sweats so may well go to gym with loud music on my headphones. Hmph.

                          Thanks Peace! I think I'm 'placing my weight down gently' rather than dropping it but am just so pleased to see a loss after being stuck for months. I ended up going for a speedwalk with loud music last night, felt much better afterwards, still not speaking to Mr Sweats though!

                              i ran 2.25 miles yesterday and walked 3.5 with 5 lb. weights in each hand...also walke the dogs, but does that really count!!!!????

                              off to make thai green curry for lunch....yum!
