Morning Abbers!

I"M ALIVE!! lol...it was a miserable 4 days but i'm finally over the crud i caught. I truly believe that not having alcohol in my system helped me get better faster. at least thats what i think and i'm sticking to it.

Have a lot of catching up to do around the house and at work but i have a long weekend coming up and that will help. YAY for Columbus Day!

Good morning Mstall and all to come,

So glad you are feeling better!!

I am a weenie when I am sick. The family all run. Even though I am female, I do get the manflu, I think.

I took two Melatonin last night and slept like a log. It is that time of year when the days start getting shorter and my job keeps me indoors most of the time anyway. I think the Melatonin helps with all that. So, I am going to stick with it this year.

Otherwise, I am sober and hope all here have a wonderful sober day.

I don't feel so good. Scratchy throat. Raining. Little doggie and cat are both in the bed :H Maybe I should take the hint.

Mstall, glad you're feeling better. I imagine we probably do heal faster without AL in our systems - good thing to remember

Cindi, glad you are back on track! I take an herbal blend for sleep that has melatonin in it called Mellodyn, love it! Getting a good night's sleep makes all the difference, doesn't it?

Greenie, I was planning on making a pot of soup today - maybe I'll send you some
Take it easy today, lots of tea today, etc.

Need to get some work done now, grandson arrives at 2 pm. then my attention is 100% on him

Hi guys,

I'm not feeling so hot either - daughter came home yesterday with a sore throat, looks like the fall school sickness season is upon us! I had a good night sleep though and she felt better this morning so hopefully it's nothing major.

At work today, bored out of my tree. Really I wish they would determine what they are doing with me becasue right now I'm so frustrated and bored. At least I'm getting done a lot of cleanup and have the time to search the web for stuff! LOL

Hope everyone has a great day - rainy and miserable here but it will be AF.

My best friend lost her job yesterday. She's OK about it and fairly optimistic about finding something else, and she's married and they've survived on one salary before so she's not overly concerned about money yet.

We had a long phone converation about it last night, and I was so pleased that I was sober and *present* when she needed to talk, rather than being drunk/half drunk/wanting to get off the phone so I could drink. I think I've been a pretty crap friend at times.

Good Morning All Abbers!
Sorry to hear that some are feeling a bit under the weather today.....tis the season. Both of my granddaughters have been sick with the flu.....I swear, schools are just a big Petrie(sp) dish this time of year! I am getting my flu shot this morning.

I am sure happy to no longer be experiencing the "Booze Flu".....geez, that was pretty miserable!

Sara, congrats on 30 Days! That is quite an accomplishment!

Today is going to be a nice day here....but cold weather and even snow is coming in tomorrow. I love fall and winter......I know.....call me crazy!

well, i had to go get an ultra sound on a small lump i found in my right breast...the dr. couldn't see anything on the us, but she felt the area as well. to make sure, she is sending me for a diagnostic mammo and possibly an mri...i hate waiting! i don't feel like it's anything to get too upset over, but i guess i'll see when i get the results.

it's going to be a fairly warm day, so i am planning on walking outside alot...my poor dogs have been wondering why our usual walks haven't been happening (because i hate wet dog smell!).

I'm back. Been fighting The Beast with no success....

I'm taking the vits and supps and today is day 1...again. I hate drinking.

But, I'm back to the point where the pain of drinking is worse than the pain of quitting...
