    amoryn

i know some folks have been taking it....wondering how you like it? i am taking 2 pills twice daily and feel like it is helping me alot. i am not feeling the usual s.a.d symptoms so far, and might actually be feeling...GOOD! could be the exercise, could be a great diet....could be being mostly sober...i don't know, but i just ordered more of it...i don't want to risk anything as i have had terrible s.a.d (i hate that shit, but you know what i mean) for the past 5-6 years and i figure anything to help me stay sober and well, i might as well do it!
the formula is mostly st.john's wort and some 5 htp...seems to be a good thing...that coupled with sleep and diet and exercise are working for me.

anyway...on a rare (recent) sleepless night, i am begging your opinions!

      Hi peace,

I've talked to a lot of people about Amoryn simply because it worked so well for me
I firmly believe that finally getting my anxiety/depression under control is what allowed me to focus on myself & this program. I am a much improved, happier, AF person - I love it!

SSRIs made me feel medicated & didn't lessen my desire to drink. For anyone else interested in relieving symptoms of anxiety and/or depression naturally - take a look at the website:
AMORYN Mood Booster | Natural Antidepressant | Supplement for Depression & Anxiety

      I'm so happy I did
      AF since 03/26/09
      NF since 05/19/09
Success comes one day at a time

          Hello sensitive types ().

I did a fairly quick taper off of Prozac, over a two week period. As I did so, I began taking some of the key ingredients in Amoryn...St. John's Wort, 5 Htp, Rhodiola Rosea, and B-vitamins. I didn't order the Amoryn right away, because I was afraid my husband would see the bill and question me about it...He's not a believer in alternative medicine or in my spending money! I have since told him about wanting to try it, and he was supportive. I'm waiting to get it in the mail.

Since going off of Prozac, I've been gradually deteriorating. After two weeks (about when it would have been out of my system) I started feeling dizzy, tired and horribly irritable. I am really suffering, and it's been almost a month. Tonight I had three glasses of wine, because I desperately wanted to lift my mood. Needless to say, it really didn't work.

I am praying that Amoryn will help, and that I won't have to go back on an SSRI. I really believe that what I'm experiencing is withdrawal, and not a return of the symptoms that made me take Prozac in the first place. It is brutal.

I feel very much alone, and am really questioning my marriage and whether or not it will ever bring me the emotional connection I want. I am constantly wondering if it's a result of being off of Prozac that is making me feel so relentlessly annoyed with my husband.

Ugh. Anyway, I will definitely let you all know if the Amoryn works...It could be, too, that my brain just needs more time to adjust to not having Prozac. Of course I know drinking will make me feel worse... I truly felt desperate tonight...Desperate to not feel so angry and tense and sensitive. More soon.

            Hi Sara,

I don't know if I missed it, but why did you want to come off Prozac, do you have side effects?

I'm actually doing ok off it at the minute. I did a VERY gradual taper down over six months, and stopped completely in July. I have mood swings and bad days, but that's definitely hormonal, which is another issue altogether. I'm a true advocate for Yoga and physical exercise, probably the last thing on your mind, but I really believe it helps!

Take care of yourself, I hope the Amoryn comes soon, but maybe you have to also consider this was just not the time to come off your SSRI. Look back over your posts, they're a great reflection of how you were feeling in relation to what was going on at the time.

I really hope you get your Smile back soon.
