i have only managed two AL free days this week, drank mon, none tues and weds, and it all went wrong from there, had a bottle of red thurs and 3/4 of red friday.

Feeling bad, have got to beat this, going to have November as AL FREE month, I know this will be hard, but have to do this, as I know I am damaging my body, by drinking everyday, liver had slight bruising, but blood count came back ok, but have low platelets, cause by drinking to much wine, on b vit to build them up, BUT STILL DRINK.

Have no AL in the house, and I have told other half again, that I will not be drinking. He can take it or leave it, it is normally me who will supply the AL IN THIS HOUSE.

I am not sure what to call this thread but I am so appreciative of all your writings and support. I am now 11 days AF. We had family over last night with some minor conflicts that happen at times. It was handled well and Al was not involved. Today is a bueatiful day here in Kansas and tomorrow is supposed to maybe hit 70 and sunny.

Jackieclaire, you are wonderful to be so supportive and 115 days AF, way to go!
Doggygirl, your comments about getting your life back and overcoming a long, dark part of your life is inspirational. 1.5 yrs AF is so encouraging to someone like me.
Higherground, are you beyond day 3 AF? Hang in there and let us know how you are.
Emmy, 33 days AF is great. I am on board with you for AF commitment in November.
Mezou and Com1, are you still going for 30 days AF?
Anothersunnyday, I feel your pain and am determined not to go back to my prior life. In my 11days I have slept well, communicated well, had high energy level and enjoyed even emotions. In other words it is probably the best 11 day period I have had in years. The key for me is to not give in to urges to drink. At the end of November I will be 41 days AF and can't wait to see how much I enjoy life having the crap out of my system. Keep writing and let us know how you are doing.

Hi Mg,

The party was a family do. Got to see my Granny (she's 95) and the rest of my family.

shame my cousin is married to an a.. hole. ( and that's being polite)

But I survived to fight another day.
