    NoSlender but Wannabe?? NOVEMBER ABBERCIZERS!!

    My hardest thing to start was finding the time to commit to exercise.
    If I left it till I got home from work, there would be many times it just wont happen. I am not a morning person, however being AF is helping me wake up feeling refreshed... but I have to allocate 6am-7am for exercises; so thats my sweat time!

    I dont have the confidence for a gym, and I like being outdoors,so the challenge I joined cost just a donation to charity, and sponsorship per kilo I lose, very affordable and accessable for many locals, and includes a PT bootcamp session each week.

    I dreaded the PT bootcamp, but it was better than I realised, and they make it fun too, before you go home and feel every sore muscle you have!

    I know that exercise plays a critical part in helping me reach my goals and feeling better.

      Ugghh, accountability sucks sometimes

      Ok, so today I did basically nothing. Drove 3+ hours home and the only exercise was my right ankle up and down on the pedal and brake. Feeling sluggish today. Should probably eat.

      Now the plan is tonight while I watch The Biggest Loser, to lift these 8 pound weights I bought my son, and doing them during commercials. They last between 3-5 mins right? A 2 hour show, I should get some good lifting accomplished.

      Tomorrow...it's 'clean the garage day'. It's my room mates 2.5 garage full of crap that needs to be totally cleaned before the trailer can go back in. Hasn't been cleaned in years.

        up and at em ABercizers!!!! hup two three four.......

        it's hard to get rolling but we are always glad when we do.

        I haven't been to the gym enough lately so last nights kickboxing really knocked the stuffings out of me. I had to really muster some willpower to stay standing on the last round. wheeeeeze! and I got kicked in the damn nuts again! note to self: take the cup out of the gym back and wear it!

          You know? I didn't take advantage of this today because we are in a serious problem, a "bug" has bit my client and we can't make the software do what it should. Lots of consternation, etc. BUT, this client's facility is HUGE. I mean HUGE.

          For lunch tomorrow, I am going for a walk in their underground tunnels. Several miles worth. Controlled atmosphere, no cars, I might never find my way back to the conference room... Many plusses.

          ps I am doing low carb, too. Oh, and this client has a coffee shop right next to the conf room I am working in. They have salads, low carb yoghurt, good decaf coffee.

          The guy I am working with carries Reeses peanut butter cups around with him. He keeps throwing them at me and I keep throwing them back. Sniff. I love Reeses peanut butter cups. :upset:

                I loved the thread title so I had to pop in.

                Am still abbercizing, just not posting as much. I'm doing the couch 2 5k plan again, and amazed at how much 'fitness' I've retained from last time. Still doing as much Yoga as I can. Working my way up to a spin class which I think will be my November goal....

                Onwards and upwards!

                  im going to join the "gym" here in town as a way to get out and be amongst the living this winter...its a very small place without much equipment, but it'll do for my purposes.

                    Hi Peace! I like your gym plan. Especially since me and Mr. D run our business from home, and he is the one who does the actually on-site client work, I can get really isolated if I let that happen. Getting out among the Living People is important to me too I think.

                    Bets, good to hear the couch to 5K is easier this time! You should pop in more often!

                    :b&d: for today:

                    30 min cardio on the arc machine. I haven't done 30 straight minutes on the arc for awhile as the pink treadmill in 20 minute spurts was worked into my cardio. So I felt this one!

                    In other news, Mr. D says I'm hot. He didn't have his glasses on at the time, but I'll take it anyway.

                    So....where is everyone??? And when are we going to have a pickup game of Netball?? This drill makes me feel uncoordinated just watching it!! Marshy?? Is this what you are doing??

                      Hey everyone! Had a great spin class today, so much fun but so hard! Talk about sweaty!

                      Tomorrow is the arc machine for me too DG..then an hour of weightlifting class. There are so many squats you feel like learning to pee standing up the next day to avoid sitting! OUCH...

                      Hope everyone is meeting their goals...both with AL and with fitness. I've always been one of those "all or nothing" types. Which is good with fitness, but bad with AL...so now I'm sticking with the NO AL....Knowing I have a tough work out most mornings makes that easier to accomplish.

                      Great to see all the people here. I look forward to hearing about your fitness accomplishments!

                        wheeze! got beat up pretty good at the gym tonight. it only hurts when I laugh! ugh. must.....get into better shape. must must.......

                        arc machine? as long as it doesn't throw punches or kicks it sounds very good to me.....

                          That's EXACTLY what it's like. Except opponents' fists are flying and I'm lying down wheezing on the sidelines (having run into the wrong section to lie down and wheeze and given away a penalty).

                            Marshy, I thought those were YOUR fists flying while your opponent was wheezing on the side lines?????? I know you kick ass out there so stop being shy. :b&d:

                            Today:

                            10 minute warmup on the arc
                            Upper Body workout with PersonalTorturer(tm) She was effective as usual.
                            20 minutes cardio on the arc.

                            Here is a good arc tune at about 35 - 40 resistance for me. WHEE - B52's!!!!! (no new boyfriends in this one though)

                              aw, i love the b52's!

                              i walked 6 miles and am preparing to jump around on the trampoline for a bit...might even use the bowflex later, who knows!!!! i'm crazy like that!!!
