Day off today. Been gymming and swimming, natch. No netball tonight :cheering: fortunately as it's wet and chilly and I don't feel like going out again so I think I might slouch in front of the TV tonight :H

Hello all! This is just a zoom zoom post to say hi and to thank everyone for the congrats yesterday on 1.5 years sober! Still can't believe I've made it this far. Maybe there is hope.

Mean time, you Quitnetters will appreciate this - I got my e-mail today announcing that I am 1,000 days nicotine free! :yougo: I'll give my own self some hot male nekkid cheerleaders for THAT accomplishment. What's the prize for that at Quitnet? Is that the Grand Staircase?? I should go there and see.

Anyway, there will be NO drinking and NO smoking in my world today. Marshy, I've got my nose in a sleazy whodunnit type novel where clever women are murdering rotten hearted cheatin' men. Your post make me think about curling up to finish that great piece of literature!!!! :H It's chilly and gray here today.

Wow I'm really really late! I had to do two things before hitting the pillow, exercise and ironing! Not an ounce of energy to log in and say hi, good to be AF on such a busy day though!

marshy you put me to shame - need to get some exercise going on in addition to roller derby - when you say trash tv are you referring to I'm a celebrity by any chance??

Made a pact with myself that I will cycle/walk to work 3 days a week and fit in two other non skating exercise sessions. apart from anything else my physio is saying i need to cycle/swim for my back.

well day 3 af and say 2 sf here - feeling good- identifying who my friends are in real life and who my frenemies are (love that phrase from sex and city). I am feeling strong, planning af drinks for Christmas now and menu - I love Christmas.


thanks so much all for advice over last week or so with my lapses - have another gig coming up BUT plan to just see band and then drive home.
Apart from that will be hibernating/hanging with af mates.

Some how DG I missed congratulating you on your HUGE 1.5 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!! That is so wonderful, you must feel like a million bucks!

Nothing going on today for me..
Received an email for budgie guy, so my son and I go see him tomorrow after school. No doubt we'll fall in love with him..

Should be going to an AA meeting tonight, too tired though..I think I'm coming down with something. Bummer.

Aloha All. Looks like every one is doing so well this Monday. I still feel a little "dizzy" from drinking (more like guzzling) over the week-end. I guess I needed a reminder about how sick alcohol makes me. Back to the "one day at a time" thoughts. I am hoping to look forward to a productive week-end coming up. I wasted last week-end.
