Morning abbers!!

At 12 after noon today it'll be 12:12 12/12. Just so you know. :H

I'm off to the coast today to spend the afternoon with a GF from 5th grade. She is there for a wedding. She loves to walk around the beautiful city and this bitter cold is nothing to her, living in MD. BUT! I inherited my monther's mink jacket. I best wear a hat so those staples in my head don't freeze. Then I come back to go to husb #1 birthday party. I'll stop by the nursing home on the way back. First I'll check the weather and if it's going to sleet I won't do either one. One of these days I'll get a real car!

PS She's not much of a drinker and knows I don't so no presure to celebrate the visit.

Happy weekend to all and hope that it is going well. Can't believe that the holidays are approaching so fast - I swear that time speeds up every year that I am on the planet...

The better half is off with the girls to downtown Chicago so us boys are just hanging out. My son's Cub Scout troop is ringing bells for the Salvation Army today, so we get to go stand outside for a couple of hours this afternoon. At least it warmed up a little bit today and is finally above 30.

Greenie, thanks for sharing your avatar oops I mean getting us started for the day! Have fun with your girlfriend and STAY WARM. Your mother's mink jacket sounds very cute. I belong to a Working Women's group and they had a fashion show at the November luncheon. It featured a fabulous collection of "vintage" clothing that a woman here in town as assembled over the years. There were so many gorgeous dresses, and shoes and hats. And fur coats, jackets and stoles from the 40's/50's. That's what your jacket mention made me think of - it was a wonderful event! Fashion tip: Don't wear that jacket outside over your robe when fig snitching.

Deter, I bet it's good to be home. Beautiful winter view out your window! I want to come visit you guys.

AA - good to see you, and definitely glad you got lucky with a WARM(er) day for the bell ringing!

I feel like I am gearing up for some big changes in 2010. Continued sobriety, new friendships, new workout program to try, and new business with Mary Kay! After AA I spent some time with my MK sales director on some training things and putting a stocking order together. (inventory for me, not Santa Stockings, although I'm sure I will find some new stuff to try out of my own inventory!) That was really fun and I'm getting excited. I could not DO it in my old drunken days, nor would I have wanted to. Now I view it as an extension of the new and sober me, and a fun way to connect with other woman. I am so blessed in sobriety. Makes me wish I would have "gotten it" years ago. But that sort of wishful thinking doesn't lead anywhere productive, so I shall just live for today and enjoy it!

Wow Det, more snow there than here! -It's freezing and cold and wet but not much snow. However up north got smoked!!!! They have roads closed. Hopefully, down here near Niagara will stay relativly okay.

Got all my shopping including stocking stuffers done today. Feels great. Having some challenges lately but I know I'll be okay. I always manage! Helps to be here. Greeny suggested I join this as our ODAT thread seems to be diminishing. My job has made it almost impossible to check in daily now but I will check in whenever I can. No worries Greeny, If i'm not on for a couple of day's I'm still okay but I appreciate that you were worried and almost ready to call!
