Hi Abbers,

laying in bathtub, soothing my sores on my knee and elbow! Yes- first proper commute to work today with new bike! Yes, fell off! Am proud that I got straight back on and road to work, then I rode home this arvo! Normally I would have been a cry baby and gone straight home! I wanted to show my new bike friend who is the boss!

Glad to be soaking in my bath, will learn from what went wrong today and NOT do it again!

I fell off my bike when I first started cycling again. A car driver asked if I was OK and I blamed the bike :H You'll be fine now you've had your first tumble.

More snow here overnight so I'd better get a move on and head off to work in case the buses are disrupted.

Day 7 today!!! Very tired, but going strong, need to stay awake until about 11:30 for a dr. appt.

Leelou, good for you in the way you handled the fall. I'm glad you didn't get hurt badly from the sound of it. A long hot bath sounds good under any circumstances! Doesn't it feel good to be clear headed and acting "adult" about things? I acted like a HUGE crybaby during the drinking years. I don't always succeed but I'm trying to act more my age (29) these days.

Marshy, good thing you got some boots boots boots for the season! Enjoy the snow - hope the buses are running on schedule or close to it!

I'm glad to be up early and unhungover today. I went to a nutrition seminar at chiro's office last night which had me up past my normal frightfully early bed time. But I'm still up and at 'em and OH MAN I could NOT do this with a hangover! It's a day off from the gym today, and also no business appointments today. So my goal is to finish all possible 2009 tax related book keeping. I don't have a lot left to go - probably a few hours. Time to stop putting the PRO in PRO-crastination and just do it. I also need to finish putting my MK sample book together so all that stuff is organized. If I get those two things done today, it will be a great day!

Figure skating is going to be heating up the rest of this week and next with lots of competitions going on. Canadian National Championships, US National Championships, and European Championships. By the end of next week lots more Olympic Dreams will either be confirmed or denied. And lots of sequins and a few man pant wedgies will have been displayed.

Leelou - Ouch! The last time I rode my bike the very same thing happened to me. I'll bet it was 15 or more years ago Needless to say the bike is long gone!

cowgal, congrats on your 7 AF days! Feels great doesn't it???

Marshy, watch your step out there in the snow! We have a bit of snow still hanging around from the last few storms. It just doesn't melt because it's been so cold, Brrr!

DG, I have tax work to do myself & today is as good a day as any to get it together

Morning abbers!

Another crisp winter day! Bright and sunny and full of electricity. Even with the humidifer It is really pissing off the cat. He finds petting to be a shocking experience. :H

I have some issues to deal with that are sure not fun (lack of performance by a contracted service and I blocked their payment) and I had to cancel a customer a month ago and just now realize he seems to be angry based on his voice message. No problem. Firm fair resolution on the first one and a sincere "whatever he needs" on the second. AF rocks! No doubt in my mind of what did or didn't happen in either scenario and no side-stepping issues.

Somebody told me "Modern Family" is a very funny TV show that is on tonight. I'll check it out. I'm always up for humor!

I am 39 and had thought people were my age and older, now I find out otherwise. Perhaps the sense of older/wiser I was feeling comes from you guys being further along the AF recovery than me and having something for me to look up to.

Hi all...Happy Hump Day! I was VERY proud of myself yesterday. My buttons got pushed one time too many the past couple of weeks and yesterday I lost it. Got all frustrated teary eyed at work and my supervisor noticed it and wanted to know if I wanted to discuss it (she knew she was part of the problem). I told her not right now I was too upset so we decided on 4:30 to discuss things.

By then I had calmed down some, but I had decided that I would put my job on the line so to speak and not hold back some issues I had to discuss, whether it mean jeapordizing my future or not. She is extremely sensitive to any type of criticism, but I wasn't in a position to sugar coat my issues just to appease her, again, job be damned!

It got quite heated but alot got discussed. I got alot off my chest. Don't think alot has been solved. But I feel ok knowing whatever happens with my job, I will be alright. But the GOOD NEWS is that no matter how upset I had been all day regarding this impending doom, I DIDNT DRINK!! I was emotionally exhausted, but went to the gym instead! Yahoo...major hurdle...I feel REALLY good about this accomplishment. Normally this would have been an excellent excuse to drink. But I refuse to turn my power over too anyone at this point in my life. Because it is MY life.
