Good morning Abbers!

Happy Humpday - time to rise & shine!
Just love opening my eyes to a sunny day, no hangover - the day is full of possibilities

Have to get right into my shop, get to work. My grandson arrives at 3 pm - to hang out with Grandma while his Mom goes to class. Fun, fun! I know I'll be exhausted tonight after chasing the Energizer Bunny for 4-5 hours but happy :H

Hi Lav - enjoy your time with the Energiser Bunny!

I had a dental check-up on the way into work this morning. He was prodding about and I was expecting him to hurt me. It got me thinking as I was lying there (I had to think about something haha) about an article I read about the psychology of fear. It basically said the anticipation of something scary is much more stressful/frightening than the actual scary thing itself. It cited an example of people jumping out of aeroplanes (with parachutes, obviously). In the couple of minutes before they jump, especially in the last 30 seconds, their heartbeat goes through the roof, but once they jump, their heart rate goes down as they realise they are going to be OK.

Anyhoo, dentist didn't hurt and I don't need any treatment. Yay!

And I just need to apply the knowledge about anticipation being more scary than action to several areas of my life.
