Apple Cider Vinegar
I'm still trying to find a good way to drink it. Wine gone bad....yep that's probably about it! I need to remember to pick up some tomato juice today! I suspect that will do the trick. A Virgin Mary instead of Wine Gone Bad.... :H

Apple Cider Vinegar
Hummm... I'll have to look in my juicing book when I get home. But I'd rather drink bottled tomato juice than buy winter tomatoes. I'm not real crazy for tomato juice.sigpic

Apple Cider Vinegar
I used to drink vinegar all the time as a kid. I would think it would be easy to just drink it like a shot. Then chase it with water or tomato juice??
I think I'll jump on this bandwagon as well.
Thanks for popping back in and sharing this info spotty!_______________

Apple Cider Vinegar
I bought the Braggs ACV yesterday. I tried it last night in 8 0z of Pellengrino and it was kinda refreshing. I like the taste of vinegar anyway, so it was enjoyable. Every morning I mix my Allone with about 6-8 oz of lemon/lime Gatorade, so this morning I added 2 tsps of Braggs to the mix! It was good....I'm going to drink the Braggs 3 times a day and see if it makes a difference. Think I'll just do a shot this afternoon...

Apple Cider Vinegar
Hi All,
Anyone using this on a regular basis care to share any improvements experienced? Picked some up today. Actually not too bad. Oddly reminds me somewhat of the "pub vinegar" I used to throw all over my fries and fish. Not sure I could use it on popcorn. It does seem to be messing with my stomach, so something is working. Let's hope it's for the bettter.

Apple Cider Vinegar
according to some, it provides health benefits including digestion/weight loss. And the first post mentioned it has helped with cravings. Hopefully, the regular users can provide more insights on its benfits. The Bragg website has information as well.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Wow you guys! I just checked back now and was surprised to see this thread still going!
For clarification , the Bragg website recommends 2 tsp NOT 2 tbsp in a large glass of filtered water, 3x a day. You're supposed to drink it slowly, so no chugging and NO SHOTS!!! LOL. Geeze, you'd think we were alkies or somethin'. :H
One of the benefits is that it releases toxins from your body, so if you drink it quickly or drink too much you could be flooding your body with toxins. (DG, this may be why you felt buzzed, and not in a good way.)
It is also supposed to balance your body's PH levels. I have acid reflux disease and take 1 Prilosec every day. I haven't noticed the ACV having any bad effects. Its also supposed to level out your blood sugar levels, and I've found I don't get as hungry during the day and that 5:00 witching hour isn't as severe. If it does seem bad, I drink a large glass of unfiltered apple juice and think good thoughts and I'm usually fine.
ACV also has antibacterial and antifungal traits (which is why its used as an antiseptic and cleaner). Raw unfiltered honey also has these traits, so I guess that's why the Braggs recommend it too. I've read that if you have allergies its good to get locally made honey as it will contain pollen from your area and you can build up an immunity to it.
RE: the ACV available at the feed store, is it raw, unfiltered vinegar with the "mother" protein? I try to put it in my pets water too, as it also (supposedly) gets rid of fleas.
RE: yam rawhide for dogs: I made one batch in the oven but it took all day to get to the right consistency, which sort of defeated the purpose of making it myself and saving money ... I could just imagine the gas meter clicking away all day like in a taxi. So, I bought a fairly inexpensive dehydrator, but alas haven't tried it yet. I want to take advantage of drying stuff once the CSA season starts anyway.
Cheers!
