I'm here! I'm here! Has your snow melted yet? Are you dug out?

I'm trying to rejoin the land of the living. My arm feels MUCH better after a week of rest and also had a good appt. yesterday with the osteopath. Once my sore throat / grunge is better I can go back to the gym with some restrictions and guidelines that sure sounded sensible to me. So now I want the cold gone!

I'm off to deliver a Mary Kay order and will try very hard not to breathe on anyone!

Have a great sober day everyone.

      Where has everyone been LATELY?

This morning I was thinking of people like cinders (then saw a post by her), kate, leelou, bear, hula, pamina, loppy, uni....

I knackered myself yseterday. I think my OCD has taken over with this letterboxing. I live in a one story house and this house has 3, so there's that. These boxes I look for on hikes (which I love) really add up to more than I'm used to. Yesterday I kept spacing out on the last hike and forgetting to look for my clues and having to back track. Standing on the trail trying to orient myself I had one of those AL flashes. One of those "I deserve something after all this" thoughts. WTF? I am so thankful the brain immediately cried out NO, you are annoyed, physically tired and it's late and you are thirsty in case you hadn't noticed! And that was that. Funny, I went to dinner and I ate sitting at the bar and didn't think a thing about it until now. Enough of that. Why can it be a flash of "I really deserve a big glass of seltzer with a splash of cranberry and a hefty squeeze of lime on ice"? Or no flash at all - a nonversation with myself

The places I go letterboxing rock! I was all over Fort Raleigh and Festival Park on Roanoke Island. I emerged from a wooded trail onto a little stretch of sand on the sound side of the island and little doggie and I sat in the sand and watched the sun go down behind the row of battered wooden jetties. Lovely. Today there are no whitecaps on the sound and it warmer so I may go to more exposed areas like the beach. I'd hate to say I spent 3 weeks at the beach but never left the woods. :H

Note to self: take more water with you, peeing in the woods is OK.

      Have a serendipitous saturday!!

Happy Saturday ABeroooos! yeah! I spent the night in my own bed and I feel so much better. whew.

Greenie, you totally crack me up...love it. it took me a while but I now have flashes of cravings for non-AL types of treats. unfortunately some of them are not too good for the waistline but I digress...

DoggyGirl, glad your arm is better, soon you will be grunge-free. I think I'll try to make your avatar for Halloween this year. hmmmmmm.

Momof3 thanks for the start, hope all is well and good.

so...off to breakfast with friends, then my Systema class, then the gun show to poke around and look for parts, then off to the sports bar with friends to watch the UFC. amazingly I'll be with two friends that don't drink. yeah!

        be well

DG, Happy to hear that you had a positive experience with the osteopath. What did he/she have to say about your arm? Be super careful getting back to the weights. I injured my shoulder several years ago and started lifting too early; it set me back a few months.

Greenie, Love your adventures...I'm also wondering why we can't crave broccoli instead of ice cream and chocolate!

Marshy, I love that the days are getting longer. It means that energy will return to my body soon!

Kate 1, Lav, Deter, and all else. Have a good one.

There is still snow, snow everywhere here. I think we are going to have it for a very long time.

well done cinders, affirmation is good.
What is your job marshy? I cycle to work at 6 to arrive at 6.30 for a 7 start. I manage a coffee shop in central Bath. The change in the light is lovely. The birds going crazy, sap rising, balms of sexy spring etc.
Trouble is that just when we get used to it the clocks go back and plunge us into darkness agan.
I am blessed with love joy and sobriety.
