Good evening everyone. Just logging in to say goodnight - its 10.15 p.m. here and I'm in the mood for bed and my book I think. Mr S is watching the news on tv - nothing good to report so a bit of escapism sounds very tempting!
I hope Thursday went well and there's not too much snow to trouble you.
An Indian summer sure sounds tempting at the moment!

Evening all,

Sped, there are plenty of places to visit in In. When you and your son are ready just let me know and I will swamp you with lots of info. Lav, you are really getting bombarded with the snow. I imagine you have had to buy your poor chicks little snow shoes. Miss B, 2 months is an awfully long time for hubby to be gone. I bet you are really looking forward to him coming home.

Just a normal day here. I've been doing Meals a couple of times a week. I enjoy getting out of the house and doing something. (even in the cold and snow)

Where is our Miss Dill at? Wishing everyone else a peaceful, af evening.

The massive snowstorm kind of fizzled but is supposed to be back later tonight........we'll see.
I'm just happy knowing that my DIL & grandson were able to fly out of Phila safely this morning. They will be spending a little time in Maine with some relatives - probably snowing there too.

I'm calling it a day - looking forward to waking up tomorrow on my 11 month AF anniversary. 11 months with no hangover.......amazing

FEB FAST ~ Week Four

Hello blessed Febbers - just managed to read last weekend's posts...I can't believe I've been away from the thread for almost a week. Was away for work last weekend, then submerged, prepping for a big presentation that I did on Wednesday, and today feel like I'm surfacing. There has to be a better way....

Anyway, I can't stay awake to completely catch up on this week, so pardon me if these notes are waaaay out of date...
dill, thanks for the 'blues blower' thoughts, and LBH the scent of English thyme and oregano was added to that meditation for me. Lav - great idea with the clearing CDs - I always forget about them. Sky - congrats on you 50 plus days, and hope you are well healed by now. Lil - so great to see you back. Red - I'll try your pepper soup - you sound so strong. Sped - hope all turned out OK with your car (I love the thought of you being a wood fairy and running by LBH's house). Raven - love the words/jedi quote. Chill, I am your first-of-the-year mate, and I still wake up thanking my lucky stars that I'm bearing no guilt, no hangover. Dear Lode, hope your heart is a little lighter...I agree with Chilly that you should make an extra effort to be gentle with yourself. And you can always join me in my new philosophy...f*** perfection!
On that rather unpoetic note, I wish you all sweet pink dreams...

Morning All!

Sooty, I can't believe we are already on to March! I like "magical". Maybe Magical March?
Chill, I'm so thrilled for you! Your London meet-up sounds wonderful!
Sped and Red, I too have been disappointed by Idol this year. The women are better than the men so far. Ellen D. contributes very little.
My day yesterday was great. I had to leave the house exceptionally early for a meeting and I was too busy all day to check in here after that. We had our grandson over immediately after I got home from work so his parents could have a dinner out. We enjoyed having him, but it wore us out!

Magical March sounds pretty good!

Just want to say a BIG well done to Lav for 11 months AF
We dont all have it on our signature so Im not sure but Lav are you the longest AF in our little thread here?

Rainstorms here for the whole weekend, staying home and cozy by the fire with my sweet dog.... My darling Dad sent me more cadburys chocolate mini eggs so thats going to be my friday treat tonight.

Glad you got to spend some quality time with your grandson last night Dill! Fun but exhausting, I know

Looks like I get to spend my 11 month anniversay shoveling snow......and I'm pretty sure there's going to be a pot of mushroom soup in the works as well

FEB FAST ~ Week Four

Lav, you know you are having weather of note when it generates new language! Hold tight. Really good to see you Cyn, it seems you have accomplished so much, I hope you can relax a bit. I like the name suggestions, anything with magic or mindful or merit badge, and may I also add the suggestion of March AF Makeover as it changes so many things in who we are and the way we live our lives. At this point it could prove to be for me, however, the March Miracle as I can not envision as yet getting my scary, gruesome, gory eye surgery sober. Fortunately this sort of trigger is by nature a very low probability event in daily life:H. For now, I keep building skills so I don?t tip too far over the edge, and for now I am working on a calm spirit and the happy possibility of being able to see out of two big bright eyes. Hey Guys just wanted to share this poem I wrote with you, (sorry if you have already seen it on another post!)

it made me sad, it made me cry
it caused me shame and it made me lie
it took away joy & feeling good
its left me lonely & misunderstood
it caused me hurt and it caused me pain
it got into my head & made me insane!

Now im no longer sad and no longer cry
I can see it so clear and i understand why
The pain is now beginning to fade
and my life no longer feels like a charade
im not giving in or willing to loose
my new life began when i said bye to the booze.....

Re the name - perhaps we should have miracle in there too to honour poor old LBH's forthcoming horrible treatment.

Hello to everyone else. You know who you are!

It snowed here today for awhile and we're suppose to get up to 3 inches tonight. Not anything like what Lav is having but more than normal for us. Just seems to be a snowy winter for us here in the northeast.

Going to put on my jammies, wrap up in a blanket and read for awhile. Wishing everyone a peaceful, af evening.
