Overit - Your comment about the 'Constant madness in my head' resonated with me. Since taking all the supplements, the madness seems to have gone away and it makes things so much easier.

Red - Im so glad you had a great evening out. That temporary insanity happens to us all when we believe the thoughts in our head instead of listening to our true intuition which comes from out hearts. :heart:

Overit - Your post was a great reminder of the good things, I too feel more creative now im AF and wondering if there are other talents I didnt know about buried under all that wine! :H Yes, the unknown can be daunting but we are more capable of facing it now and I try to think of it as an adventure.

Sped - Califonia sounds just the ticket to get away from the snow, have heaps of fun!

Lav - Your trip sounds so good too, what is the trade fair on?

Mario - If cold turkey worked, then it worked. You are such an inspiration to me....

Rusty - Im so glad you are finding things a bit easier now.

Today I was having one of these days when it suddenly hits you between the eyes that no one is going to fix you but yourself 1st some tears then I gave myself a bit of a talking to and I was fine. Then I came on here and IAD you so made me smile with your crazy penguins... :H Thank you, it was just what i needed.

Long, busy day today. Ended having my grandson over for dinner too

Chill the trade show is all about the embroidery & screen printing biz. When I left my nursing career (after 27 years) I decided to do something completely different!! I have a small home based shop with 2 commercial embroidery machines, 2 computers & all the gizmos to keep everything running. Sometimes I'm very busy, sometimes not so much but I'm happy

Lav - Do you know Determinator? I just read on another thread that they are in Vegas and mentioned an embroidery show!!! Same one?

Im off to walk my sweet dog, I think my wobbly week is at an end and im feeling more optimistic about life, yesterday was AF day 70 for me, I kind of want to stop counting but I guess it stills feels like its some sort of an achievement.

Wow Chill,l 70 days what an achievement, you go right on counting. I too am about to take my doggies for their morning walk, cold but sunny so I should enjoy it.

MAGICAL MARCH MARCH - WEEK TWO

Good morning all!! It's Friday, and for some reason I always feel happy and excited on the weekends. Even though that is the time I tend to relapse.

I have a solid plan this weekend, lots to keep me busy and no exposure to alcohol, a big issue to me. I will do fine for a time on my AF journey, and then if I am with drinkers, on the spur of the moment, I'll think, "What the heck, go for it." That is crazy thinking and the next day, hungover, I think, "what was I thinking?" It is as simple and as complicated as that. Any comments? I need input.

Chill, 70 days!!! If I had 70 days I would be counting, too. Go for it. I am happy for you and can tell in your posts that you are finding a peace, and meaning in your AF life. You are an inspiration and I thank you for all your support and sharing of your journey.

MAGICAL MARCH MARCH - WEEK TWO

Good Morning Marchers!
Yesterday was a very busy day for me with no time to check in. I did read some at work yesterday to get centered. (Don't tell the boss!) Today is more of the same. I just can't wait for this school year to be over. On top of the regular stress of the job, we were hit with information that there will be job cuts because of funding problems. Two of my colleagues were let go this week. More cuts are coming. No one is safe. I'm afraid I let the stress get to me and had a relapse last night. So now on top of all the stress I have guilt and shame. Not helpful.

Red, just think of IAD's penguins. Maybe that will help. At this point, I am right there with you. I'm not giving up though. I can't.

Just wanted to check in. Really busy this week. It gets this way in the spring.

Dill-Work can really be a stresser for us. We spend a good part of our days there. Don't let the guilt get to you. Just pick yourself up, dust off and get back on the bus with us. :l Never give up!
