Greetings from the lovely Sunshine Coast,

we're here on the ocean, cyclone north of here has not been an issue, lots of surfers and im eating anything i feel like -yum!

I love the sound of the ocean!

We went kayaking on the way here, it was good fun, we didn't get wet even...

Were planning on taking kayaking up for weekends etc.... So we are trying out different crafts till we know what we want!

I'm off to have another spa bath.... Must remember NOT to add too many bubbles this time.....

Morning AB Fabbers!!

SPRING!! FINALLY SPRING!!

Leelou I'm so glad for you! Must feel like heaven after all that work and being sick!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day at the races! What fun! We had a spot right at track side at one of the jumps and the first of 6 races started there. We had dollar bets and I ended up down one so I was happy. The circular track was lined with brightly colored canopy tents and colorful straw hats adorning some interesting outfits. If I'd only know to wear my spike heels with the straps and bow at the heel - darn! We, like most others, had spreads of food on tables with tablecloths and flowers. Of course the drinking began at 10 and I was the only one without and it was fine. At one point a very drunk older woman - well she looked older - came to our table saying she needed some water. (I'll say!) She got some and left her sunglasses. I then saw her "next door" searching the ground so we returned them. Several of our group were saying "shit, that could be me". I thought to myself as I sipped my tea, NO WAY will it be me!

Brunch was cancelled today as some decided to get an early start on their various trips home. That's fine as I have plenty to do. FH actually moved a truckload of stuff yesterday! I went inside and jumped up and down with little doggie!!

what a fabulous sunny day here (sorry Funny Girl)

had a great Saturday, was most amused at a casino where I saw a large sign advertising 1.00 bloody mary's with the title: "Hangover Heaven". I just stood and stared at the sign in disbelief for a couple of seconds. LOL!

also when I was ordering a salad in a brew pub in the casino I noticed the staff sneaking shots behind the food warming counter. the 'fun' never ends in the city that never sleeps!

Maybe instead of a shot, I should have some pedigree! Lovely ad . . . .I really did enjoy it, but then, I enjoy all things furry! Hate the snow though . . . .yes, it's still here - I look out the window, hoping maybe it will magically have gone - sort of like the KS Jayhawks . . . .ha! Anyway, back to my indoor projects. I'm sure our spring will come soon . . . .

Hi everyone! I am having a fabulous Day 2, thanks in part to having the upportunity to hang with you guys!

Leelou, you have inspired me to break out the kayak--lost interest in it (and everything else) when I was stuck in the bottle. I need to get back into it.

greeneyes, sounds like the races were really fun--especially in your sober state. Was the food spectacular?

Funny Girl, I feel for you as far as the snow/shoveling goes! I also did plenty of that when I lived up north. Ugh! Winter seems to linger on forever.....

Determinator, thanks for the cool video! I have two dogs myself--at times they have been the only things I wanted to live for. They have saved my life many times.

Survived my 24+ hours watching my grandson only to find out he's coming right back tomorrow - yikes!!!
