Just when you thought it was safe...ABBERCIZERS ARE BACK! (for April anyway..)

Thanks for the butt exercise ideas Momof3,
I need to sort my sugar intake out too. Been saying it for ages....haven't acted yet. Decided to give myself until the 2month mark AF, then will deal with caffiene, then sugar.

Went for another 45min run this morning. Felt great. Was a time that I could only run 10mins. Unbelievable really!
Hope the rest of you are sticking to your exercise goals.
DG - how are the curves (?) sessions going.

Good for you Amelia. A 45 minute run!

I think all of us here struggle with the sugar issue. It is particularly intense the first few months after drinking but it does taper off!

Did boot camp today. Lots of lunges, squats, leap frogs, and sprints. By the end of the day, I will barely be able to make it up the stairs.

              M3 - Bootcamp sounds grueling!

Sunshine - 3 hour trail ride makes my butt hurt just thinkin' about it!

              How are you doing Amelia?

              :b&d:

I've been really lackluster this week and my workouts reflect that. Dang sugar is part of it. It's like booze for me - once I start I have a very tough time stopping. But today has been a very clean eating day in addition to being sugar free. (good quality protein, veggies, etc. - no crap) So hopefully I'll be back on track here. I did work out at Curves today!

Where the Sam Hill are the rest of the abbercizers? Oh wait. I know. :sofa:

You can run but you can't hide. Or should I say you can :sofa: but you cant' run worth a damn. :b&d:

Half marathon tomorrow. Ran one in October in 2 hr. 23 min. I know I can beat that. I think I can, I think I can. Don't mind the running. Just hate the night before, the morning before. Anticipation, make that anxious anticipation.
Mom of 3(I have 3 too), wish I could get sugar out of my life. Sometimes it feels like it's taken al's place. Like since I quit drinking I've started abusing sugar. Doggie, it is like once I get some sugar in my system, it makes me crave more. At least you don't get drunk on sugar.
Am doing yoga once a week. It's hard to do something you're not good at. I am the least limber person on earth. Not to mention my balance leaving much to be desired.

Speedtech--Good luck on your 1/2 marathon! I'm looking forward to hearing how your experience was.

Just got back from a most wonderful spa overnight with a friend. Spring-fed mineral baths, a massage, yoga, relaxation...ahhhhhhh!

Momof3, I ended up on 10mg of citalopram per day now and I'll keep that up for another couple of weeks and then try to go down to 5. I just tried to do it too fast before which is typical of my impulsive impetuous nature.

just back from the gym...felt really 'on' today. my timing/distance/rhythm were all behaving at once. wow! I think taking a couple arginine capsules an hour before class is helping my cardio.

Deter - good to hear that slowing down the tapering seems to be helping! Have you ever summarized your supplements regimine anywhere? I would sure be interested in THAT read if you have written about it, or (hint) WOULD write about it!

I have been :b&d: at Curves on plan, and then forgetting to report it here! My eating on the other hand has SUCKED in the sugar department. I'm hoping weight watchers will help give me some new motivation to do the healthy right things in the food department.

Doggy! woof! you get high marks on the 'curves' but we both need to go SF. sugar free it seems. I'm pretty low key on the supplements these days. quick summary:

a hi quality potent multi vit

Omega 3 twice per day (4 times recommended dose)

Calcium 400 mg in am and 400mg in pm

                            chromium picolinate 200mcg

                            magnesium 300mg at bed time

vit C 1000 to 1500mg in 500mg increments through the day (as I remember)

Whey protein shake with 50grams of protein and extra L glutamine 1X per day unless I'm doing a hard gym day then 2X per day

and if I can stand it, a teaspoon of MSM sulphur in the evening as well.

before a hard workout I try to remember to take 1,000mg of argenine.

and if I'm having trouble sleeping, or having anxiety I'll take 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon inositol
                            ok, I think that's it.

Thanks Deter. Amazing I am doing quite a bit of what you are. Haven't checked out inositol or argenine though. Will be doing some googling!

What kind of fish oil do you like? I take Carlsons.

OK - I'm off to Curves!

I'm finishing off my costco fish oil and will be switching to krill oil ASAP. I've heard good things about Carlsons.
