Cyn - Welcome back! I hope you stick with us, new month fresh start...

    July Jamboree - week 1

    Good morning everyone

Thanks for getting us started Chill and also for the wonderful name.

Lav - How did the anniversary dinner go?

Spud and Cyn - Welcome back, I'm sure July will be a good one for all of us.

Star - Achill is one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland. I have a friend who lives there. Somebody asked if my daughter had been to the Gaelteacht in Dingle. I'm afraid not, the plan was for her to go to one in each part of the country as they all have different dialects. She has been to Donegal twice, Connemara and Sligo. This year she went closer to home in the midlands as she has had glandular fever so wont be able to join in a lot of the outdoor activities.

Dill - Hope you are enjoying the summer off.

LBH - So sorry about the hail and what it did to your garden. Mother Nature can be cruel at times.

Sped - Hope you enjoyed Michigan. Where are you to off to next?

Its raining here this morning, first time in weeks. It has a habit of not going away and we have had lovely weather so far. I hope not. Have a great day everyone.

          July Jamboree - week 1

I just took time to read all the posts from last month as my computer was down for days. Wow, alot going on.
Lav, so happy your husband followed through and helped you out at home. Sometimes I wonder what it will take for him to appreciate you. I think he takes you for granted, as sometimes happens in long term relationships.
Dill, the pictures of your farm are beautiful. Just like my neck of the woods. Robin Pilcher does not write like his mother. My favorite Rosamunde Pilcher book is the Shellseekers. It is worth reading.
LBH, you are such a lovely writer. Thanks for your positive thoughts about having time off. You described exactly what my life has been like. Work and then catching up on the weekends.
Rusty, I too will be on a beach vacation and am kind of concerned. I have a SIL who drinks very little or not at all, so having vacationed with her in the past, I follow her lead. It makes for a great memorable trip. Who wants to be hungover on vacation? Not me. I just want to be outside in the sun, in a new place.
Rustop61, how interesting that you know about Achill Island. I hope to visit there some day.
Chill, congrats on your six months. You are so changing your life. I was interested in the comment from the guy in the bar. How rude of him, and you handled it so graciously. It's true, so much more positive goes on sober then the drink, recover, drink, recover, syndrome.

Spuddleduck, you sound like you are on your game and feeling better every day.

I feel sad it is July, although it is a lovely month. June is my favorite time of the year. I love the 4th though, even though no firm plans. That is not true, Saturday I am scheduled to drive about an hour away to visit a girlfriend, so that will be fun. Well, off to get ready for work.

Sending you all peace and harmony, AF.

A Jumpin July Jamboree to all!

Ah Dingle! What a beautiful place. Was there a few years ago now, with an Irish band from Australia! We pulled up in the van outside a pub, sat down with our instrument's, and a session was had! Soon enough, the sandwiches came out, along with the pint's. Did that a few times down the west coast from Galway. The people, the language, the countryside. I can't wait to go back.

            A grand day to everyone!

Greetings everyone! Chill, thank you for the start up and I love the name! I enjoyed the song, too. Great way to start July!
Redstar, I thought Robin was a girl's name!! LOL!
Yesterday was a perfect summer day with low humidity and temps in the 70's, and today is looking like a clone of yesterday!

Good morning Jammers - especially if you like raspberry :H:H

Great to see everyone, welcome rebirth & all to come! There is strength in numbers!

Sadly, nothing much to report this morning. Went to dinner last night & was home alone by 7:30 pm. Not exactly a fun night out - it was what it was....
At this point I have to agree with Eckhart Tolle Dill. I need to give up waiting as a state of mind & just enjoy being! I can't help but feel sorry for Mr Lav because he is truly missing out on the joys of being alive.

Well, I actually have some work waiting for me this morning so I'll get to it!
                          Enjoy your Thursday everyone
