Welcome Jewel! Sounds like you're ready to do this. The buzz wasn't any fun for me any more either. There was just a grim determination to drink at the end.

      BUMMER!

Zoo trip postponed. My son was stuck working OT!
So, I went & picked up EB anyway so we could spend the day together here. Oh, btw, he's napping right now

Full moon tonight - thought so...........I'll fire up another smudge stick while playing my Coyote Oldman 'Tear of the Moon' CD! I always sleep better after I go thru that ritual

Welcome Jewel! I don't think you'll find anyone here that you won't gel with. Of course, we do shoot from the hip prn.

G, may I please hear your lovely tunes too. Do you need an email address?

Marshy, deep breaths, enjoy your evening!

      Grilling chicken for dinner soon.
      Later.

GF's, I think if you PM G your e-mail addy you will get to hear the tune and then become a FANGIRL!!! :yougo:

Welcome Jewel! Count me in as another who did not enjoy drinking at all in the years before I finally quit. I have fun back in the younger years - no doubt about that. But when it became my ball and chain 100% of the time....nope. Good for you managing to bring it down a notch or too. You have already made great progress! I think M3's post about "taking it to the next level" applies to several of us today in various areas of our lives!

Also hello to lilly 'bit (hope I remembered that right!)

Lav - bummer about the zoo! I was all excited for you and thinking it's been AGES since I have been to the zoo and maybe a trip to Brookfield zoo one of these "Indian Summer" days is in order. That would be a nice outing once my moving work is done and the rennovations are under way and I will surely need to "get out of the house!" Hmmm.... Have a blast with EB. I'm sure he is taking a nap to build up his energy for you!

So Marshy, is this a hot date? :h Good for you! I think it's wonderful that we will all be lined up in the row right behind you! We'll be quiet though. We promise! :H Hope it goes fabulously well.

Greenie, do you seriously have a headless Barbie? That is so funny. I am currently reading (on the 2 page per day plan) Vanishing Act by Jodi Picoult. One of the characters is a lady who gets things (many Barbies) out of other people's junk heaps and she makes stuff to sell (she calls it "possession reincarnation). Among the Black Market Barbies she has assembled and dressed from "spare parts" include PMS Barbie, Mid-life Crisis Barbie, etc. I'm sorry you didn't find your mojo but that was a good consolation prize! Maybe YOU should get a matching pink tank top with "I'm Fabulous" on it. That would go great with your TBGP's!

M3, I think you are right about fear being a part of this. (possibly a BIG part of this...) By the time I sweated out a Curves workout, I weighed in at EXACTLY 2 pounds over my goal weight which is the upper limit for a successful weigh in. Not an ounce more, not an ounce less. I'm thinking there is a message from the universe in here. I have accomplished the objective (the Lifetime Member goal), but I need to stay busy and keep working at this thing. The REAL work has just begun.

        Hi Chill!

G - what's this 98 business? That's not a reference to age is it? I thought you were 29 like the rest of us?

I hope LVT's family visit is going OK. Where's Deter been lately? Hello to everyone yet to come! One thing is for sure.....

Hey DG-CONGRATS ON THE LIFE TIME MEMBERSHIP!! :wd:THAT IS SO HUGE!! My sis has been a lifetime member since 1987 and I swear it keeps her on track. Sure, she's had to pay a few times but she's never "blown up" like I have. Keep up the good work!! Glad you went today right?

Lav-so sorry about the zoo. There will be a next time tho. Hope you had a good time with EB anyway. Intersesting stuff about the smudge thing. Hmmmm.

Greenie-you are too damn funny!! A headless barbie indeed!! I think we need of pic of her with the tank top on and the matching one for you ain't a bad idea :H
          Did your mojo return yet?

M3-Aww thanks!! You know, you really inspire me with your running. I just need to translate that inspiration to actual action. Not sure if I'm afraid of making exercise a habit or if I'm just overwhelmed with how fast the days fly by now. My next goal is to make lunchtime walking a habit, weather permitting.

Marshy-hope your evening out was a lot of fun. You couldn't even tell we were behind you, could you ?

Welcome Jewel- Great job on cutting down. It should be so much easier to cut it out completely if that is what you really want. I was at your stage with not really enjoying it but forcing it down but I couldn't moderate at all. I failed miserably. The only avenue left for me was/is complete abstinence. Looking forward to getting to know you!!

Hi Lillybit! Nice to meet you!

Hey to Mr. G (youngest 98 year old I ever met and a voice of a 29 yo!!) and Chill! Hope your day went well!!

Hope I didn't leave anyone out!

Today I caught up to myself and I feel at peace with what I've done towards Thursday's orientation and I think I can handle any "fires' that come my way tomorrow. I decided to come straight home after work-no errands, not even gas (might be paying for that one tomorrow morning ). It's a cold rainy raw night and I was very happy to come home to a fairly clean and tidy house (by my standards, not Martha's!!). After letting the boyz out I got out my CROCHETING!! I sat and watched Cash Cab for an hour and crocheted about 10 rows of the scarf I started for my dad last February!! It was so cozy and peaceful. Because of all my cooking this weekend I had a very nice dinner waiting to be heated up. It's now time to feed the pack, have a Jello Sugar free chocolate mousse dessert and head to bed and my book. I'm almost done with Undrunk and I've really enjoyed it.

Have a fabulouse nite all! See you in the morning GFs!!

No, it wasn't a hot date :H But I'm starting to think it might become... complicated. Anyway, she's going away for a couple of weeks so I've got time to mull that over.

            Thought Inception was great!

River comes from the dam and is VERY cold so not really.

Hey guess what I found at the river. Not my mojo, but close. I found a little pink tank top for my headless barbie and it says "I'm FABULOUS" on it. To bad I didn't find BGPs - she'll just have to go commando or wear it over the evening gown. :H

It's a full moon, in case you're interested.
Errr, Holy moly! I am fairly tired right now, but did i read that you're wearing a little pink tank top with 'i'm fabulous' on it, going commando under an evening gown, and full mooning all and sundry?

Geez girl, i think you've found ya mojo!
