    What Moderation Means to Me

    Wonderful post, Gaia! I agree with the others. While it doesn't feel like it rules my life anymore, I must never, ever get complacent.

    Phil, maybe think of the Sirens in Greek mythology that tempted sailors into crashing on the rocks with their seductive song. Beautiful, but deadly. Which reminds me, I used to call alcohol Nectar of the Gods (really!).

        Gaia, just read your description of your beast; he's a twin to mine.
        And I do hope in time he will end up just a small weepy whiny pup. But for now, he's a beast....
        I'll just remember I'm strong. Thanks!
        From the Sanskrit prayer;

        "....For yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision,
        But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a dream of hope."
