Fabbie Abbies!!! Hi everyone. Special welcome to anyone new to this thread or anyone lurking. Come join us!

P3, thank you VERY much for the perfect "man." Much better than loading up on junk food.

PAGuy - Doggy Sleepover!!! :yougo: Can't wait to hear about that. When I read "there is one day left to the weekend" I immediately thought about how much longer weekends seem now. Amazing the difference when hours upon hours of it aren't wasted on either hangovers or stuff I can't remember.

Lav - more :l One day at a time for all things I guess.

Greenie, I hope you get to take time to catch up on your tapes soon. I'm that way with AA meetings - my head goes a bit squirrely if I haven't been able to go for a bit. Did you burn the letter without reading it?

Marshy and LVT and anyone else with ill loves ones - special vibes to you and yours.

I'm over half way done cleaning out my closet which is great! All the hanging clothes and shoes are moved. I'm disappointed that I didn't put more stuff in the donation pile. I have SO much stuff but when it still fits and I like it I just can't say no! (even if it's trendy - from 2 years ago!) Why do I have to always have one in every color????? I need to start living by a hard and fast rule that if something new wants to come live in my closet, something else has to go to the shelter to make room.

After breakfast I'm off to AA giving rides to a couple of nearby guys. They are nice so it's no problem. Then back to work in the closet. It's jewelry and all the folded stuff and "misc" today. I don't have much "real" jewelry but I love my fake :bling. So this will be as bad as the shoes.

ONE THING IS FOR SURE!!!! There will be no drinking AL for this girl today!

    Morning fabbies!

Nice enough AM out that I may try the dam again. Maybe there is less auto traffic on the weekend. My indoor-outdoor thermometer is broken (outdoor part) and that just won't do. I need to remedy that.

Repair guys (new ones) come today to look at the bathroom. I've got to move on from flaky plumber. I've got to look at wallpaper and vanitys.

No, DG... I did NOT read the letter. My higher self has been rather quite lately but was very clear on that. I meant the opposite about the teleseminars. I got overloaded. Say one person has a 3 week series of speakers. One hour 3 or 4 days a week (maybe more, maybe less). Each speaker has a free gift often in the form of an hour download of their work. Back to the "one person".. lets see... there is Shifra, Jennifer McLean, Linda Woods, Pamela somebody, Karen & Selma, Lisa Garr, etc. Get the idea? I think I have so many people talking to me on "that" level I can't hear myself. I am going to look at them, but only pick a couple to listen to. This is part of a wave of e-marketing for people in the (loosely grouped) coaching business. And it seems there are truly a million ways to skin a cat. :H

Guess I'll head on to the dam.

Have a superb AF sunday! I will and I know one thing is for sure............

Sorry Greenie!! thanks for the clarification. Now I get why you are slightly loopy about the seminars!! I was going to check some of them out but now I'm afraid! I HATE seeing skinned cats :H
Go to the dam-there is a neat one about 45 min from me. It's so hard to take that big chunk of time out tho. Have to actually plan for it.
DG-you are making amazing progress with your decluttering!! I've heard of the one in/one out rule too and keep thinking I need to adhere to it as well, esp with shoes and bags!!
      Bagels done-ravinous this morning!!

        Good Morning All,

Doing the final packing morning to get ready for a 1 week beach vacation in the Outer Banks. The girls were so excited last night that they couldn't sleep. This is an annual tradition for us that we have been doing since my first was a toddler. So, over 11 years now. I hear the waves calling me. I am extremely excited to get in the water. Given that I had a melanoma removed this year, I am fully armed with sunscreen, sunshirts, beach umbrella, and hats.

DG, I am going to channel some of your decluttering energy this way. I'm doing fairly well in that area actually but sometimes it gets so overwhelming that I can't get started. The other four people in my house are pack racks. It literally paralyzes me. I like, space, clean, no clutter. What kind of karma is that?

Greenie, have a good trek to the dam.

Lav, I was reading the post about your husband and I'm curious to know if he has a diagnosis. It is too bad that he cannot get out of his own way. Painful to see and to walk away from. I am continually amazed by your strength and sense of humor with it all.

Hello to all to come. I have to get packing. My girls will be beside themselves if we don't get out the door by 9:00 am. I'll be bringing my computer so I will be well connected.

Jewel, hang in there. So good of you to watch over your sister's children. You are doing really well by not reacting to all that is going on around you; this is a very hard thing to do. You will find however, that the more AF time you get underneath your belt, the less you are pulled into the craziness that is going on in others' lives. You are still supportive of them, but you are less likely to take on their problems as your own. Keep up the good work.

            Morning Abbies!

DG you are raising BEES now???? Bees in the mail? No WAY! To me, that sounds like a high-risk activity. You have become so in touch with the earth that I think you should be the Gaia, not me!

Lav after reading your post yesterday about Mr. Lav's confusion, I seriously wonder if he is ill. Brain tumors can cause very strange behavior. I don't mean to scare you - I mean which is worse - he's a mean person or he is seriously ill? Maybe he should be checked out by a GP. Hugs to you my dear this is not easy!

Jewel- kids are a handful. They are a joy if you can deal with them. They need you sober so great job on staying with this.

Greenie enjoy the dam. I don't know how you didn't read the letter. I would have. I hear ya on those tapes. Sounds like overload to me. How many celebrity kvetches can one take in a stretch? Good for you to know you need to listen to yourself.

Hi Papmom and M3. Safe travels M3.

            Gotta go now...

Lordy, Papmom! Looks delicious. I tried to grow courgettes (zucchinis) once but only got flowers, no veg. Is that your lunch?

Mom3 - have a great holiday. I'll have to Google that to see where it is.

DG - thanks for good vibes. My new vacuum cleaner turned up so I'm going to follow your lead and do some cleaning/sorting out. What fun.

Lav - I'd agree with Gaia that Mr Lav sounds ill in some way. Depression? Has he seen a doctor?

Greenie - I don't think I could have resisted looking at the letter but I'm sure it's best that you DON'T. Who needs that kind of crap?

                Have a good day all!

Hee Hee Marshy!! Unfortunately I have 2 more that aren't quite as big but close so this one is getting shredded and given to my sister who can freeze it and use it for bread or brownies or patties this winter. How's your mum doing? I love buying new vacuums!! Have fun with yours.

                    Hello friends.

Nice Zuc Pap. I love to make zucchini boats--split it, take the seeds out, stuff it like a pepper and bake or grill. I have lots of zucs right now too, and a few cucs, lots and lots of kale, but a few less weeds I might add.

Greenie, if you haven't had the ceremonial campfire, can you send the letter to me so I can read it? :H Seriously I truly respect your resolve, I do. Hope your new workers get the job done.

After church today I'm going to kill a few more weeds, and then finish tidying up the house, and then start my daily fly lady routines. I hope I can do this, it's harder than it sounds for me for some reason. I guess I have too much going on.

My sis called me last night! She sounds good and she is so hoping she can get her hip fixed!

Mom3--sounds wonderful!!! I want to hear all of the details. Enjoy!

I used to raise chickens to eat. They actually ship them the day they are hatched. It always amazed me. When I'd go to the post office to pick them up (yes very early DG) the whole place was chirping! The most I ever got was 100 chicks. No time for that right now. Much easier to buy in the store, but let me tell you the flavor cannot compare!

Well, I better get ready to go. Wishing everyone a wonderful af day!:h

I haven't done the zucchini boats yet-maybe tonite. Monster zuke is all shredded. 8 cups will go to my sis and 7 hopefully to a local soup kitchen plus the other large zuc i picked. Just waiting for a call back.

M3-have wonderful time at the outer banks!! A place I've always wanted to visit. I can see you and the kids frolicking in the waves now!!

Hi again! Fabbie Abbies are ON THE GO today!

Gaia, I cannot take credit for any bee related things other than taking some funny pics of Mr. Doggy in his bee suit. They are his pets. I help eat honey.

Ahhhh Greenie. I misunderstood. The reverse of my problem! I truly do admire your resolve about the letter. That is the right thing to do. (LVT, I'll be over in an hour so you and I can read it together! :H)

M3 - have a blast on vacation. I dont' want to hear about it. I want to go with you.

P3 - that is SOME ZUKE!! Wow - 15 cups out of that one alone? Sounds bigger than the ones Mr. Doggy over looked when I went to San Antonio. Did you weigh it? Pass the zuke bread!!

Marshy, my zukes flowered but never did much else last year. It was cooler than average last summer. I think they like it hot. Any follow up news from the date? Have fun cleaning and sorting, which I am going to start the minute I am done with this post, I swear. With my pinkies crossed.

LVT, I love that fountain! How creative! I should use all the excess crap in my closet - I could make a whole water park.

Well, coffee break over. Hello to all yet to come today.

Saw some friends on the dam walk. (har har) One has really been on my mind lately so that wasn't coincidental.

I determined today for sure that the shower leaks so yes the whole bathroom is going to be ripped out. I have to make tile selections. Paralysis has already set in. However, a dark emerald green initially sprang to mind, so I'm going to start out there.

M3 I'm envious of your trip to the outer banks. I think you said you go to the Corolla area, right? I was thinking of the beach as I walked the dam. I need a walk on the beach soon. I'll do that sometime this early fall. I'm only 2 hours away from the ocean.

I wonder if uni went home for a weekend visit.

I feel a little better today. But like you do when you're getting over an illness, better, but not yet right. Not so sure I'm done yet, but I'll take happy when I get it.

Hi everybody else - poster, lurkers, etc. Pic coming later on!
