Water park!!!:H:H:H I'm pretty sure I can round up enough stuff here to make everyone on the daily thread their own fountain!

Oh, I just remembered the zucchini cake I made for hubby's birthday! It was so good! A chocolate cake mix, some eggs, a little oil and 2 cups of zucchini. My dream whip frosting on top and it was to die for!! If anyone is interested in the recipe I'll dig it up.

        I am interested!

Deter!! :yougo: How come you didn't go to Burning Man also? Don't they ever let you off work at that place? Oh well. I'm sure you will be appreciating Dx at maximum over drive after 2 weeks of bachelorhood. Garlicky hugs back at ya. Good to see you!!

Greenie all I can say is that I wish I was 2 hours from the ocean! Can I go too???? Glad it's feeling like your funk might be nearing an end.

Wow Marshy. House in France? This is going to be WAY better than sitting a row behind you at the movies for a non-date. What about it GF's???? Here is our one way ticket to france! :h

OK. Mr. D and I decided to have our main meal mid-day since he has a lot of yard work and I have a lot of closet cleaning and who knows when either of us will be done. So...I have yet to start on Day 2 of the closet! But I'm heading there now. Really. Hey our apple trees planted a few years ago are now really producing! Mr. D brought in at least a bushel. I made caramel apple sauce to go with ham steaks for lunch. Yum. I need to get this house crap under control and make can some applesauce!

OK. I'm seriously getting to work now.

          Hi Det!

Greenie, emerald green sounds good. I've got green bathroom walls. Not exactly emerald, more, um, :wow: green. But I like it!

          LVT - yeah, recipe please!

            Hey there Abbers!

            So much to read today!!

Before I forget - Hi Dter!

Some of you mentioned Mr Lav's 'illness'. Yes, he was diagnosed & treated by a psychiatrist 7 years ago for servere, chronic depression BUT he stopped his treatment way too soon (in my professional opinion! So he's done nothing over the years but get worse & worse. At this point he is making himself crazy - I know it really has nothing to do with me. But that doesn't make my heart stop hurting. I don't hate him I just find him frigging impossible to live with in this condition. He's removed himself from my presence & his home because he still refuses to get proper treatment. It is a totally pathetic situation, I wish it would stop. He returned this morning as promised to help me ready the coop for the 25 new chicks I ordered yesterday - then he disappeared again. Crazy!!!

Greenie - I had the same thought last night that you did about the teleseminars. I've enjoyed them, I really have but I think I'm going to try them in moderation now..........a few here & there. I don't need any more pressure in my life!

Well, I'm getting some work done now, expecting EB & his Mom for diner. Grilling burgers tonight!
Baked up some triple chocolate chunk muffins for dessert.......maybe a little ice cream to go withthem, Yum!

            Have a great day all!

Nice pic Greenie. Is that your garage sale get up? Good move, if so.
Do Karen and Selma do 'other' sort's of tele-seminar's? Just wondering, cause i went home with a Karen and Selma after a gig a few years ago. They didn't mind a drink either! Geez, i hope one of 'em isn't an MWO 'er these day's, and reading this.

Oh My LVT!! That cake sounds absolutely dreamy. It's totally low carb right??:H

Hey G-good to see you. Deter-you too!! PAGuy-I know i saw you post somewhere on here but can't find it. Hope you had a great weekend despite the heat!!

Marshy-good to see you too. You seriously do NOT want to know how many electric dirt sucking machines I have right now of all kinds. It's pretty sick. I can never find the "right" one although I think I've now come close so i really need to give away the others. It's kind of like pocketbooks, cell phones and totebags with me. Hmmm, same with men. Oh boy that's scary!!

LVT-I cut in half one of the other monster zukes that had been wrapped tightly in my fridge for two weeks and sauteed up some onion, garlic, mushrooms and walnuts. Added 1/2 cup of Panko breadcrumbs to the zucchini meat, stirred in the sautee mixture, 1/4 cup shredded chedder and 1/4 bacon bits and mixed it all together. Put it all in the shell and it's cooking now at 350 for 30 min. I'll then throw some more cheese on top and bake for another 10 or so min. Does that sound right? I totally winged it with no recipe. I'm think 1/2 of this thing should be a serving.

DG-did you get back to work this afternoon? We'll :b&d:if you didn't!!

Lav-I'm so sorry to hear that Mr. Lav might actually be ill and to much so to help himself. My mom had Pic's Disease and her whole personality changed. They tried prozac etc before the dx finally came through. It was very tough to watch but once we got the dx it got a bit easier to accept her bizarre behavior. My heart goes out to you.

                    Greenie-:H :H :H that is all

had a busy day. after I shredded up the zuccs, I had zucchini bread and a diet coke for an early lunch (what else?), heard back from the soup kitchen-hopefully they can pick up tomorrow-then headed over to my sisters with the dogs so I could catch my bro and SIL before they left to go home. I love watching little Nate in the pool!! Saw their new car-toyota matrix (why didn't I look at those???)-very cute. Had a nice visit. The dogs behaved themselves and DD even gave my SIL some kisses. Then off to the vet for mickey's annual and to have DD's nails trimmed. On the way home stopped off at Wally World to make sure I can bring my new grill back to be assembled. What in god's name was I thinking that I could do this myself??? Then stopped for an ice cream cone. I know I know-the carbs!! But come on-sunday afternoon, 94 degrees, how could I not? Then home to try to figure out the platform for the cargo area of my car that I will put the under bed containers under. Almost got heat stroke so gave up and sat by the pond reading for a long time while DD played in his pool and the others just hung out. Then in to assemble the stuffed zucchini. Whew!! It's 7:30, I'll be eating soon and then hopefully to bed for an early nite. Up early tomorrow to meet my neighbor for a walk and then in to work. ZOOM ZOOM and NO time for AL!!

OK then. When I return from France after visiting Marshy and her non-girlfriend, I will head straight to Lav's house for dessert. Then to Greenie's to see if the color of green she chose for her bathroom is anything like the green in my dining room. I hope not, because THAT green would make a :yuk: bathroom color I think. After I steal Headless Slutbarbie, I will head home to bake the LVT zuke cake with my very own zuke and hope LVT will come by to share with me. I don't think I will be visiting G because he's had a little too much fun with his fangirls over the years. :H

Is my world tour as good as Tigger's?

I am done moving shoes, clothes, bling, and nearly everything up there. Mr. Doggy is moving the beds. I'm afraid to look. (we use 2 kings so there is room for the entire doggy family at night.....:H)

Whew. Time for some ice cream. One thing is for sure.....

Oops - Hi P3! Yes I got back to work and finished it up! I should have gone to your place to have ice cream!

AF Daily - Sunday August 29

                        Hello Folks:

Why is it that I no longer dread Sunday evenings? Well, for starters, it could be that my weekends are so full now that they aren't being spent hung over most of the day Saturday and Sunday! So, come Sunday evening, I am feeling quite good about all of the things I accomplished and I even managed to sneak in a little nap in the backyard with my dog late this afternoon!

Speaking of dogs, our doggie sleepover last night was a real hoot. My little guy (a Westie) who is maybe 1/3 the size of our overnight guest (a Wheaten terrier) did not waste any time letting our guest know who was BOSS when it came to sleep time. Let's say the bed was a bit crowded when the evening started but our guest was promptly dismissed to the bedroom floor within a half-hour. Our guest was so thankful when his parents came home this afternoon!

Greenie- LOVE the headless Barbie - she is fabulous!

M3 - I've never been to the OBX but that is a destination on my radar. In fact, there is a half-marathon there in November. Depending on how well my recovery goes, I may plan to run that race. Hope you have a great time!

I don't know what to say about those monstrous zucchini's - my goodness - you could feed an army with them!

Hope everyone has a restful evening and a good start of the new week...
                        John

OMG greenie - she's perfect like that!!!!
I always hated the smug smiles painted on Barbie faces. Who the hell really looks like that anyway.
My son always pulled the heads off my daughter's dolls.........guess he didn't like the smugness either

                          Good night all!

I refused to have any dolls when I was a kid. I had toy guns, a cowboy outfit (my parents first bought me a "squaw" outfit but I wouldn't wear it), a spaceman outfit, footballs, my brother's Action Man...

Bit of a clue as to how I was going to turn out? :H:H
