AF Daily - Monday August 30

    Hello Abbies, wakey wakey!

"Nice Zuc Pap." I think that says it all. That should be the first sentence of a novel. LIke "Call me Ishmael." Wanna play name that book? I'll just do a few:

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife

Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins.

[OK that last one was too easy]

riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth

Through the fence, between the curling flower spaces, I could see them hitting

The moment one learns English, complications set in.

(sorry if I got carried away - it was fun!)

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way

Maybe it was because I had a good literature teacher. I was fascinated by it.

        What's on your agenda today?

Gaia - know them all except the last two.

Greenie - I recently read Bleak House for the first time, purely because of the mention of a megalosaurus in the first par :H And guess what? It wasn't about dinosaurs at all :H:H

              Nobody playing? :upset:

OK, I'm off to see if it's still possible to buy a mobile phone that only makes calls and texts, and doesn't do anything else. (See why I'm attracted to dinosaurs?)

Good morning! You are all over my head. Sadly, I think I killed those brain cells.

                    One thing is for sure....

                      Problem of the day:

Woodworms. Powderpost beetle. Larvae lives for 3-10 years. No one wants to touch it. Ug.

Another campfire in line for today. Geeeeeeez! I hope letter writing is therapeutic for him. I guess nobody told him you're supposed to write the stuff down but not give it to the person. He is having a critical moment in his life and tends to fall into moments of victimhood, blame, and resentment. I'm sure it doesn't seem like it, but I'm sure all will work out in a manner that is for his higher good. although it may be an unpleasant process

I need to really get on this bathroom thing and not let it drag on in misery for me. Time to call up the creative GFs and make a plan and implement it.

LVT, I'd love a fountain in the tundra, but the mozzies are awful and I really don't hang around outside. I'd rather stay inside and eat that cake I'm so impressed by creative people.

Hope everyone has a good AF Monday that kicks off the week in a great way!

Another one Greenie? Maybe send it back to him so he can start a journal. Or become the next Dostoyevski.

I used to think that too until I got an iPhone. Now I am part of the AppleCult(tm).

You could be a part of the AppleCult(tm) too you know...
