Just wanted to hop in & say G'nite!
It was a loooong but good day :H
Even had Mr Lav here for dinner - he was very late but he did get here.
I don't want to jinx anything but his mood seems somewhat lighter these days, hmmm!

Rebirth - my business is embroidery/monogramming. I have a small, home based shop set up here with 2 commercial machines & all the stuff that goes with it :H The morning commute is simple I slaved away in hospitals for 27 years then decided I had had enough of nursing. So this is my retirement job so to speak!

Cyn, we will have to design a shirt just for our serenely happy little group here

Cyn - I got goose bumps when I read your post! I finished the book I was reading last night and went to my pile of ones to read and selected "The Shadow of the Wind" from the bookcase! Didnt know it was about Barcelona.

Lav - You got me thinking a group catch phrase for us would be nice, one that we can use on going as well as our monthly names.... any suggestions guys?

LBH - You really should write poetry you have a beautiful way with words.

I have to run as meeting a friend for coffee but im dying to tell you all about my clairvoyant yesterday!! I will post all about it when I get back........

Good morning everyone

Dont, know what is wrong with my broadband this morning but it is extremely slow and I am becoming very frustrated!!! Just making a short post in case it looses everything. LBH you have a lovely way with words, do you write any poetry? Congratulations on the new cat Rebirth, enjoy. Chill, can wait to hear about the clairvoyant. I went to an old lady in my 20's and she told me I would have a problem with alcohol in my 40's!!!

Not as nice here this morning, yesterday was beautiful. Have had my walk in the woods with doggies, now I need to do some housework. Big hello to everyone.

Heading into a holiday weekend here but no plans have been made. I feel like kicking back a bit & not spending a whole lot of time in the kitchen. I'm all ready for my new chick delivery next week - can't wait

September Serenity - Week 1

Ok guys this was my clairvoyant's reading yesterday having never met me before or asked me any personal Q's......

Asked what connection I had with Ireland - I said "none" then she said why do I see Dublin? This was spooky as Im going to Dublin at the end of October to meet up with a crowd of MWO-ers!!

she said 2004 was a very up setting and dark time for me - this was the year I split up from my husband

saw legal issues that need to be sorted out and money problems which she predicted would be resolved in a few months??!! - here's hoping!

Predicted when things get resloved I will want to get away on a trip (saw Jan 2011) & life being much brighter

told me she saw my ex as being very unhappy and being with someone very controlling, saw him possibly being unwell or suffering from mental anguish. She asked me if he had recently told me he still loved me as she sensed he does, (he hasnt). I asked her if she saw anyting else about the two of us and she said that while getting back together couldnt be ruled out it would not be in my best interests.

Saw a complete change and fresh start being good for me, asked if I was moving house. (I said no although as you know I have considered it) She said im not home in Portugal and wont stay here or return to Scotland, neither are where im destined to be.

Told me I love to travel (which I do), said Im not afraid to travel alone (which im not and have done lots of times) She could see me in Canada or meeting someone from there who would make me happy! She said she also saw Australia in my future, I said that i had been there and she said I had been very happy there which was absolutely true! I cried all the way back....:upset:

She asked if I did any writing as she could see me making a living from it..
Also that someone would be coming into my life next year who was artistic, either connected to theatre, music or writing.

Said I was drifting aimlessly at the moment and that i need to stop and decide where im going, find the confidence to move forward, let go of the past and sees me deciding next june/july where in the world Im going to live. Everything will work out for me, I will be happy and not have money worries...

Lots of accurate information and it has boosted my spirits making me believe that the future looks good

Wow Chill. What a reading...very thought provoking eh! I was thinking about going to a clairvoyant recently but I am not sure whether I want to hear my future. The last time someone read my hand she gasped in horror. That REALLY put me off...So Australia? Maybe you will meet someone artistic from tha MYo group???? All very exciting though....

Lav-I think it's brilliant when people change their job so good for you! Sounds interesting. Dont quite know what it is that you do but I will look it up when I get the chance. So Mr Lav is back in your life now??? I am loving my dailyOm messages!


LBH you definitely have a way with words. I laughed out loud when I read your post ..and that is not a good look when you are staring at a computer in a shop environment. Did get a few looks. I am naughty as I shouldnt be on here during work. When are you going to get a pet?

I embroider logos for individuals or companies on shirts, hats, anything really. I have thousands of designs, flowers, animals, etc. Sometimes people just want lettering done. The Fall season leading up to Christmas is usually a busy time for me. People do like to give gifts of a personal nature. Did you see the courses on DailyOM? I've taken one in the past & am about to sign up for another. You get 8 weekly lessons.....pretty cool

Going to take a run out this afternoon to get a Flu shot. I want to keep myself healthy especially since I spend so much time around my pregnant daughter, DIL & my grandson.
I'm pushing myself to do this now & stop being the procrastinator that I'm known to be

The last DailyOM course I took was 'How to Create a More Loving Relationship' - I shared all the lessons with Mr Lav but he didn't seem very impressed at the time. Who knows, maybe the information did sink in. Right now I'm thinking about 'How to Fire Up Your Chakras'. I think that one would be good for me. Read all the course descriptions & see which one would be a good fit for you!

September Serenity - Week 1

Quick check in from here. We had huge winds last night (50-60 mile an hour gusts) so there was little sleep at the home of the Bird Hearts. I have had a good day in any case thanks in part to the enduringly good nature of Lord Bird Heart, exercise, and an acupuncture treatment and massage from my oriental medicine wizard. This afternoon I did my chores while starting what I think is going to be a splendid audio rendition of Kathryn Stockett?s The Help. Cyn and Rusty, I too have read The Shadow of the Wind and also found it quirky and steeped with its sense of place. Your Cookie, Rebirth, is lovely, a classic tabby, to me the finest of kitties. My orange version Sam likes his scratch post rubbed with fresh catnip by the way so I grow some year round, we describe the post as having been ?marinated?. Off now as we are supposed to be at an art opening soon; fire up those chakras, Lav, but don?t go BOOM. You have a great future, Chill, but we always new that:heart:.
